The Beat Bank All things artistic... The Beat Bank is an independent record label featuring various styles of avant-garde electronic music; working mainly in fusion styles.

They value true artist development, creative content and quality productions as opposed to quantity and trend. It was founded in 1995 by Lional [Brother El] Freeman as merely a music production and recording studio. As the success of The Beat Banks projects grew and the talent pool developed, Brother El partnered with his then manager Charles Cain and expanded the company into a full service recor

d label. This was mainly due to their growing catalogue of unreleased music and lack of proper business representation in Chicago Hip Hop music. The labels main artists are Path[Butch Brown], Larry Miller, Willie Jade, SPO[Hood Camanchee], NOVI and Brother El. A number of releases have received critical acclaim such as Brother El’s “Through the Cracks of Concrete.”

Currently, the label is partnering with major electronic distributors to launch its newest act the Makers of Sense composed of Cristian Huepe and Brother El. Also debuting The Beat Bank’s collaborative hip hop group Bare Witness of Chicago Hip Hop legends.
