I am honestly miffed when people tell me they can use text to video tools to create their marketing videos.
Such products now are churning awful videos which still needs a lot manual work.
So you thought you save time but end up spending more time trying to correct a lacklustre piece of content.
And essentially, causing you to sacrifice your opportunity to tell you story in an authentic manner.
BUT, it made me think....
Why are they still attractive and getting people to pay for subscriptions?
Because people are always trying to look for a shortcut.
A shortcut to catch up with the video trends without putting in much work.
A shortcut to HOPE for results, without putting in substance.
A shortcut to 'save money', thinking that you 'save time' too..
What you are losing out is....
#1. Your personal brand. You are essentially telling people you have no mind of your own and devaluing how people see you.
#2. Your ability to grow as a person. Creating authentic social media content that brings in business is a new age skill in the art of communication. If you can't communicate your value, why should someone pay you for your services?
#3. Your potential to grow your views and accounts. Badly generated videos which are low on authenticity and uniqueness will NOT stand out in the online space. If EVERYONE can do those videos, why should ANYONE watch yours???
I am not against AI.
In fact the right tools have helped me save time in editing so I can put out more quality content in less time.
However, to me, AI generated videos for now is far from value adding and even risks devaluing your brand.
Learn how to build your strategy so you can leverage on AI correctly and not entirely rely on it to communicate your message.
AI should be an enhancement, not a strategy.
