Howdy,
here is our penultimate release for this year: "Drones & Sketches" by contemporary classical and ambient artist Polaroid Notes. Six drone versions/interpretations of previously released tracks and four unreleased ones.
The album is a direct follow-up to "Drone Reworks", which was released in autumn 2020.

Here is our 46th release: "Stills" from Kraut Sounds. The album captures eight personal moments that became a series of ambient tracks. Relaxed and floating textures meet deep dub electronic sounds and subliminal melodies. Something to listen to in a meditative state.
The limited CD version includes as a bonus all five tracks from the "Silence" EP, which was released in digital form on the British label Whitelabrecs in September 2021. All in all, almost 80 minutes of music.

Straight to tomorrow's Bandcamp Friday comes our next release from Kraut Sounds. "Stills" features eight brand new deep ambient electronic tracks. Released digital and as a limited edition CD with five bonus tracks from the "Silence" EP, originally released on British label Whitelabrecs in 2021.

Our last release before the summer break comes from CARBONATES ON MARS. "Dreaming Drone" is a multi-layered soundscape inspired by the intention to create an ambient drone piece reflecting a dream world. Enjoy the deep listening experience.

"Silent Night" contains four long drone soundscapes. Based on pipe organ sound sources, the tracks alternate between calm ambient sounds and slowly pulsating, hypnotic swirls.

Our 43rd release is a very special one: "Brass Meditations" by DEEP TREMOLO SUSTAIN. His new EP features five deep drone tracks made with brass instruments, a modular synthesizer and a couple of effects. Very relaxing and very peaceful, indeed.

Hi there, after a long break we are back to (drone) work...

We don't know if it is a pure coincidence, but every second year in January we have a new release of Munich's LINEARWELT. This time it's the EP "Zeit" - a find blend of slowly shifting ambient and drone soundscapes. On three tracks Linearwelt was supported by contemporary classic / ambient artist Polaroid Notes adding some soft e-paino sounds, which provide a particularly deep atmosphere.

Woo hoo!
Here is our 40th release: "Quando Arriva La Nebbia" ("When The Fog Comes") is the fourth collaboration between VELO DI NEBBIA and Kraut Sounds.
As with their previous releases, both artists embark on a wondrous journey in sound and time, combining ambient and drone with old-school electronica and experimental sounds and vibes.

Available as digital download and limited edition CD.

With his new four track EP "Nesto omileno za citanje" ("Some Favourite Readings") BOBAN RISTEVSKI returns to the shores of Drone Works International.

Boban's music is concentrated and based on exploring ambient, drone, industrial and noise with elements of minimalism, improvisation and abstraction. It is balancing between more structured forms and an improvised approach to music.

Hi there,
Drone Works International is celebrating its fifth anniversary today. It all started with the mini-album "Drone Paths" from Kraut Sounds, released on the 26th of December 2016, and since then another 35 releases have been added, mostly as digital releases, but some as limited CD editions.

We thought this anniversary must be celebrated with something special. That's why "Drone Works Vol. 5 - The Drone Years" consists of three mixes based on tracks from the previous releases. Kraut Sounds and Deep Tremolo Sustain spent hours listening through all DWI releases and created three special mixes: "Ambient Drones", "Experimental Drones" and "Pure Drones".
All mixes are "Name Your Price" releases, donations are welcome.

A heartfelt thanks to all the artists involved and of course to all fans and friends who have supported us over the last five years.
