Lime Street Entertainment is a video production company that produce high quality films at extremely low budgets. With the 48 Hour Film Project - Los Angeles Best of Screening past, I am so ecstatic that Eileen Chase won the Woman Filmmaker of the Year award for her film "Call for Help." When her named got called, I cheered loudly. This is big news for Lime Street Entertainment as well because last year, when I did the 48 Hour Film Project - San Diego, Eileen Chase was the lead actress and wrote most of the screenplay for our film "Road to Romance." It was fun working with her, and Ashley Cordelia (who also directed, co-produced, and helped write) and Ayla Feren loved working in her as well (in fact, Ayla had a brief role in the 48 Hour Film "Relapse" in which Eileen produced). This film was shot in only 20 takes, and many of the lines were ad libbed (including Eileen's thanks for existing line, which got huge laughs in the theater). In celebration of Eileen Chase's victory, I now present you "Road to Romance."

This Romantic Comedy was made for the 48 Hour Film Project San Diego. This is Lime Street Entertainment's and Schmitt Films first entry to that competition....

Here is a poster I made for the Lime Street Entertainment and Hollywood Dreams Management 48 Hour Film Project "Fruit Salad." Our Genres were Romance and Food Film. Starring Scott Matthew (in his first lead role for a 48 Hour Film Project), Diana Alvort, Briana Bui, Mel Miles, Leah Procito, and Ziggy Baran (all the actors wrote the screenplay as well). Produced by
Mel Miles and directed by Zuzanna Kurcharska.

This film has many first for Lime Street.
It is the first to have SAG actors, the first to have an original score, the first to have a male lead actor, the first to shot in 4K, and the first time we teamed up with a rookie studio.

This film was a ton of fun to make, and was submitted in record time (around 3pm on Sunday, the fastest we ever submitted a film). We are in Group G on Saturday August 17th at 9pm. We hope to see you there.

Well, with the 48 Hour Film Project - Los Angeles coming in two days, I was put into group G, the same group as Uncle Mikki Productions, lead by Alec Wry, who I was classmates with at Cypress College in the Cypress College Media Arts Design department taught by Ian Holmes. It is such a coincidence that we were both put in the same screening group. You think that is a connection, wait until you hear this Kevin Bacon connection. I worked with Uncle Mikki Productions on two shorts and one feature. Nicole Murray, an Uncle Mikki Alumni, appeared in Open House for Damn Good Team, also in our screening group. Her best friend Asia Lynn Pitts appeared with her many times, and Asia starred in directed in the film "Tick Tock" for which I was an assistant editor for. It doesn't stop there, Michael Nelson, who appeared in Open House, had a cameo role in Unsubscribed produced by Uncle Mikki, for which I had a cameo as well. Quite a connection huh? Anyway, happy filming everyone.

I would like to share a film that the Lime Street Studio help on.

'Call Out' is an experimental short film about domestic violence loosely based on a true story. The film explores how trauma can follow you after the event and how a victim may even gaslight themselves and wonder what they did wrong to put themselves in that position in the first place. Opening up to someone may be the first step in healing.

Written and directed by Jessica May Jensen (who also directed the Lime Street Film 'A Full Spectrum Celebration') and starring Nichola Fynn and Anthony Gonzales.

Lime Street help with the sound mix on this film. Enjoy the movie.

A quick poster I made for the new Lime Street Entertainment movie called "You Did This to Yourself." Made for the Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge. Starring Nneka Nne, Katie Oliver (last year's Best Actress Runner Up), Louise Harris, Stephanie Valdez Tobias and Lia Etomi (who also directed the film), this film tells of the story of 4 women who go to group therapy to cope with their lost freedom. Written by Brian Groh and produced (along with all other crew positions) by yours truly. It was a blast working with all these talented actresses. Though the editing was not a breeze cause due to the hollow environment we shot in, it caused headaches in the sound department, but don't worry, I fixed it the best I could to get this to a presentable form. It makes history though as it is not only the first Lime Street film to have a lead character be African American, but it is also the first Lime Street film to be directed by an African American. You should be able to see this film soon on the CFC Youtube page.

It is done. A Full Spectrum Celebration made for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge is in the can and it ready for it's public showing on Saturday.

Director: Jessica May Jensen
Producer: Jessica May Jensen and Me.
Screenplay: Natalie D'Alacio Stafford
Story: Jessica May Jensen
Starring: Nichola Fynn Jessica May Jensen and her son Rowan, and Scott Matthew

I did all other crew positions, including Director of Photography, Editing, Sound, and Assistant Director. How I did this is that Jessica and I never share the screen, so she did some camera and sound duty when I was on screen.

This buddy comedy tells the story of an eager Aunt who wants to help set up her Autistic nephew's birthday party without knowing his sensitivities.

Full of heart and humor, I can't wait for all to see this on the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge page starting on Saturday.

Thanks to Jessica May Jensen for directing and acting in this picture, after being in the same screening group twice for the 48 Hour Film Project - Los Angeles. She becomes our 6th female director in the studios history. Thanks to Nichola Fynn for taking time to act in this project, make her the first SAG-AFTRA actress to act in a Lime Street Project. Also thanks to Natalie D'Alacio Stafford for taking time to help write the screenplay, in spite of being on another project also made for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge.

2023 would be a very eventful year for the Lime Street Entertainment studio. 3 short films were produced and released to various Festivals. The first was Tigerlily's Cafe. This film was made for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. This film was not only Tigerlilys ( the daughter of Ashley Cordelia) first speaking role, but it was also the first Lime Street film to use Dolby noise reduction by using a program called DDI Codec. The second film I made was Road to Romance. This film was made for the 48 Hour Film Project - San Diego. Like Tigerlily's Cafe, it was a collaboration with Schmitt Films, and was directed by Ashley Cordelia. She along with costars Eileen Chase and Ayla Feren all wrote the screenplay. Cordelia also did all the music tracks for the film. Our third film is Cloro Returns. Made for the 48 Hour Film Project - Los Angeles, this is our most successful film to date. Made in collaboration with Starseed Productions, this is the first Lime Street produced film to make the Best Of Los Angeles Award's Screening & Ceremony. Nominated for 6 awards, including Best Actress, Women in Film/Video, Entertainment & the Arts, and Best Sound (our biggest achievement as it is our most successful use of the Dolby system). Natalie D'Alacio Stafford won best actress at the JORJEZIAN FILM FESTIVAL, thanks to Maria Jorjezian, and got further nominations from two other festivals. These three films make it our most productive year, and this does not include Tick Tock, which was made for the Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge by Asia Lynn Pitts and Nika Khitrova, for which I helped edit, and also not including Space Y, which was made by Cultural Detritus by Carl Hansen, for which I only acted in (and also written and starring Natalie D'Alacio). What will 2024 bring? Well, we plan to do all these festivals again and more. And Natalie D'Alacio and her husband Kevin Stafford will be attached to at least one of these projects. Anyway, have a Happy New Year.
