Not many PTs will write about this sort of thing but I have to get this off my chest. Chances are this will be quite unpopular but I’ll live with it!

⚠️TRUTHBOMB ⚠️

A PT, any coach in general, is only as good as you are.

If you aren’t truly ready, we’re just as much a black hole for your money as everything else has been.

I get so many messages from women talking about how I’m an inspiration, or they wish they had my motivation and drive.

The truth of the matter? I’m no more special than anyone else, hell, I’ve spent most of my adult life as that person who quits only to start over again time after time.

The biggest thing that’s got me to this point?

➡️I stopped quitting⬅️

That’s it!

No magical diet, no miracle exercise routine, no amazing PT who transformed my mindset for me.

I just stopped quitting on myself.

To every person out there who is stick of starting over again so much...stop giving up.

Accept the fact that there is NO PERFECT TIME to change.

There’s NO SUCH THING as a smooth ride.

There WILL BE obstacles that you won’t see coming.

You WILL have days where you doubt yourself.

You WILL have days where you swear you’re getting fat.

This WILL take longer than you’d like it to.

And that’s all fine, normal and ok!

Stick with it, stay true to yourself and value yourself - don’t quit and watch what happens

That moment when you do an exercise in front of the mirror, and realise your arms are looking good.

That happened to me late last week and it reminded me, of the small wins we must celebrate along the way.

Celebrating these small wins is sooooo important for several reasons;

1. Motivation is temporary. It’s actually a complete pain in the ass. It comes and goes without a care in the world. Couldn’t care less that we are trying to achieve a really big - really important goal here and could really do with motivation all the time. Nope – doesn’t care.

2. Transforming your body is a long process. It’s hard to keep the end goal in mind, because it seems so far away.

3. We are always the last to notice change in ourselves, so when we finally do – it’s really exciting.

4. Motivation is s**t – I had to just throw this one in at the end. 😜

By celebrating the small wins, we remind ourselves that we are working our butts off for something. We are doing this for a reason, we have a goal.

We are also reminding ourselves that it’s working!!!
So, the next time you get out of the shower and see yourself a little differently – celebrate that.

Like me, the next time you notice a difference in the mirror while working out – celebrate it.

A lot of little wins will eventually add up to one big goal achieved! 💪

What's your favourite source of protein?

This busy 40-something mother came to us wanting to look awesome in and out of clothes, as well as address her bad habit...

This busy 40-something mother came to us wanting to look awesome in and out of clothes, as well as address her bad habits with alcohol, binge/emotional eating and that awful circle of shame and anxiety that comes with it.

A veteran of all manner of diets as well as medication like Duromine that work against your metabolism rather than with it, she was unable to find anything that was truly sustainable for her.

While working with us, she has taken so many positive steps forward and is rebuilding herself from the inside out.

❌ We haven't asked her to weigh herself since we know that the scales are a terrible way to measure progress and aren't the real problem, so how can they be part of the solution?

❌ We haven't asked her to count her calories since you simply don't need to do that to change yourself for the better. That mental energy is better off invested in more productive ways.

All we've asked her to do is create and embrace a structured process that guarantees improvements over time;

✅ Consistency with her training. Structured training geared towards improvements in strength, functionality, immune function and overall health and fitness. The training you do determines what type of weight you lose.

✅ Consistency with meal planning and preparation. A real X-Factor that can make or break a person's efforts in the gym. Without it you're pushing s**t uphill. The food a person eats determines how much weight they lose (or if they do at all).

✅ Consistency with accountability. Accountability is the glue that holds the entire process together. Without it, a person's journey is primarily guesswork and if it's primarily guesswork, it's only a matter of time before it feels like you're spinning your wheels, you start second-guessing yourself and frustration sets in.
We have been upskilling and teaching Nikki how to give us the information we need to give her the best, most accurate guidance possible; removing any guesswork.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Nikki so far, perhaps her greatest skill of all is that she is coachable. Can't wait to see where she goes from here!

Every time I go to the gym, every time one of our clients goes to the gym it is planned, structured and has reason and purpose behind everything.

So when I walked into the gym this morning and overheard one of the PTs asking their client "OK, so what are we training today?" I could only .

Nothing says 'guesswork' more than this. Nothing says 'you may as well set your money on fire' more than this.

If you read this and realise your Trainer has asked you the above question, they are the problem.

If you read this, realise your Trainer has asked you the above question and you do nothing about it, you are the problem.

Nothing you ever achieved in your life came about by winging it and hoping for the best. Your weight loss goals shouldn't be any different.

👶8 months post partum.
🏋️6 months since being given the green light to commence exercise.

Andy could sit here and tell you it was easy.. But the truth is it wasn't.

She struggled with the exact same things most other mums and women struggle with...
🔸Tiredness.
🔸Time.
🔸Putting herself first when she has other little humans to consider.
🔸Doing the things she knows she needs to do, when sometimes all her brain says is "fck it".

But the best thing of all is... She didn't have to change 1 thing that she was doing before or even during her pregnancy...

She didn't amp up her exercise to lose baby weight faster
➡️ Just 2-3hrs of weight training incl. just 1 x 20min HIT session/wk.

She didn't restrict her food choices or cut calories
➡️ She ate foods to fuel her body AND still indulged in some treats.

She didn't try and be perfect!
➡️ Some weeks she missed training sessions and ate more treats than she probably should have.. It's called

Ladies if you are sitting on the fence because you think you have to be perfect and exercise has to be your life, than we are here to tell you, you have been highly misinformed...

If you haven't even managed to pass the basics, don't bother wasting your money on supplements. You are literally making...

Time to work on the all the other things that add up to bigger results, regardless of how slowly you plug away at them.

✅ Eat well.
✅ Train well.
✅ Drink water.
