Some notes for Vols & S. Miss today:

1. The last two national champions have been Mississippi schools.
2. The last two national champions have took quick exits from
SEC Tournament.
3. Both teams are prone to defensive breakdowns.
4. S. Miss offense is more contact oriented.

5. Vols should have the advantage on the mound with their depth.
6. Southern Miss is loaded with experience.
7. For casual college baseball fans, Southern Miss is a strong program that would more than hold its own most years in a power conference.

The Grainger High School Lady Grizzlies finished their season in grand fashion with a trip to the state championship! The Lady Grizzlies made it all the way to the state finals before losing to Macon.
