'Even Modi’s eyes won’t believe his tears': MK Stalin's fresh attack on PM



In a fresh attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for pushing Hindi over Tamil, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin accused him of "hypocrisy" and said, "Even Modi’s eyes won’t believe his tears". He questioned why the Prime Minister, who used to speak English during earlier trips to Tamil Nadu, had now switched to Hindi.

“Yesterday evening, Modi said he regrets not knowing how to speak in Tamil. Yesterday’s news also said that from here onwards the beautiful Tamil word ‘Vanoli’ will be changed to the Hindi word ‘Akashavani’. Even Modi’s eyes won’t believe his tears. So how will the Tamil people believe it? What kind of Tamil affection is it when you are poking your one eye and shedding tears from the other?,” Stalin wrote on X.

Stalin also questioned PM Modi about his promise made in 2019 that Tamil would be used for announcements on flights to and from Tamil Nadu.

“Forget the flights, even the airports in the state have security personnel who don’t know either Tamil or English,” Stalin said in his social media post.

Speaking at an election rally today, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister said, "The BJP wants to divide people based on caste, religion, language."

He called on people to vote for the INDIA bloc if they wanted "democracy and social justice to prevail in the country".
