The holidays bring all kinds of surprises, but be careful. One of those surprises could be a scam.
The first one is unexpected delivery. Scammers deliver packages to your home with just a QR code and no other information about who ordered it. Do NOT scan the code. You could be giving them access to your personal information or your accounts.
The second scam is an email or text message that says it is from one of the delivery companies or Amazon. It may say they attempted to deliver a package but will ask you to click on a link to update your address or zip code. Do NOT click.
If you receive a notification, call the company directly or visit their official website. They can verify whether it is a scam or not.
