Machine Command started in 2014 with creating EBM influenced by acts like Nitzer Ebb, Spetsnaz, Buzz Kull, Ultra Sunn, Choke Chain, Leather Strip and such. The band started out under the name Halcyon Days and did release the EP's "tetrachy" and "Without Fear E.P." and the album "To The Point". On the album singer Daryl Grootfaam was part of the lineup.
In this period a remix was made for the track "Want It" from XP8 which was released on their "Meathead's Lost HD" album. There were also some live shows played with the high point being opening for Straftanz at Cyberia in Utrecht
In 2018 an attempt was made to record a second album. Ten songs were made and three songs were completely finished and one of them ("Bodyheat") was released on the Side Line compilation "Electronic Bodies Session 1" out in 2023
In 2023 work was restarted on the second album. Former singer Daryl was unavailable so the decision was made the finish the album in a more club EBM style using guest vocalists, AI and samples. Because there was another band active under the name "Halcyon Days" it was decided to change the bandname to "Machine Command". 4 songs from the 2018 sessions were reworked and together with 6 new songs they make up the new album.
The new album is entitled "New Socialism" and hold 10 hard EBM bangers in an crosover between old skool/Anhalt EBM and modern club EBM.
