Fighting Chess is a new chess variant that has strengthened the rook, bishop, knight, and pawn such that any material imbalance ceteris paribus (Latin for other things being equal) results in a win for the stronger side. Pawns can now forcibly promote, and any regular piece with the help of its king can deliver checkmate. There’s a few other clerical changes, but the main idea is that the drawing potential in the game has been greatly reduced from what is present in chess with its very weak pieces by comparison.
