It’s been a long time since I’ve done a release on This Is POP Records! Rob and Myke and I started the venture a few years ago and we went full tilt on our first year. With releases of Real Sickies Average Times This is POP Canada volume 1 and Screaming Targets. (Maybe I missed one, it’s been a while)

A lot has changed over time and the label took a bit of break.

But here I am happy to say This is Pop records is part of a new special release! Collaboration with Mom’s Basement Records !

Happy release day to THE SMELTERS! Burnin Dirt is officially out now!! Check it out on all streaming platforms!

Chrispy Workun helped them in the making of the record and they all did a great job capturing the energy of the band.

We got a to play a few shows with them now and I gotta say it’s one of the most sincere and raw POP punk bands I’ve seen and heard in a while!! They love what they do and it shows on this LP!

We’re very excited to announce that Smelters from Alberta, Canada have joined the MBR label family! Smelters have been doing their thing in the Canadian punk rock underground for almost 20 years now and we’re pleased to announce that we are working with Ben from This Is POP Records on the project! Be sure to go and like/both and get ready for the first single off of “Burnin Dirt” in the very near future!
