Feeling overwhelmed with guilt because of everything you have to take care of, including yourself?
Remember you are doing your best!
Here's how to reframe those negative thoughts:
1. Notice the negative: Identify those critical or negative thoughts you have.
2. Challenge the thoughts: Are they true? Helpful? Replace them with positive ones.
3. Be kind to yourself: Treat yourself with the same kindness and compassion you would offer a friend.
4. Seek support: Talk to someone you trust or consider professional help.
Remember, you're not alone.
No more guilt, friend! You are doing your best!

Did you hear it?
The screen door slamming that takes you back to your childhood.
It does for us! We were at our parents’ house yesterday and the weather was glorious in the early morning and we started reminiscing about childhood and the screen door slamming as Mama made us go outside and play.
And…when Mama would send us outside…
she would lock the screen door so we couldn’t sneak back in too soon.
The sweet days of childhood and fun!
What is a favorite childhood memory you have?

Ask the question to your parents - Who was your best friend growing up and what adventures did you have?
We don’t get a lot of stories from our Daddy’s childhood (he must have been quite a teenager) but he did tell us about his best friend and how they used to take his ’58 Ford out on the street and race with it, prior to using it as a drag racing car!
The things you learn when you ask!
Ask the question to your loved ones, friend, so their history doesn’t pass away with them!

Every place has a story…
And today we are uncovering one from our Daddy with this question: “What is your favorite place that you ever saw and wanted to go back to?”
His answer? Rome, Italy! 🇮🇹✨
These conversations are so important—they help us connect with our loved ones and learn from them. Don’t let your family’s history pass away with your loved ones!
What about you? What’s a place that holds a special memory for you? Share in the comments!

You will never regret…
saving the voicemails from your aging parents.
I have my Mama’s saved in my iPhone Notes, Files, and even in my Google drive.
It’s been 1 1/2 years ago today since Mama moved onto her Heavenly home. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t miss her and her calls.
I’m so grateful I have her voicemails to hear her voice and for her to tell me goodnight 🥹❤️

Our family is welcoming another wonderful girl this year, so we showered Darcy with love this morning at her bridal shower ❤️

Did you miss the mark in parenting sometimes?
You are not alone! We did too!!
We might have dropped the ball on some major life skills when raising our boys, that would help them in adulting because we were still learning too. 😱
There's no manual for parenting!!
So, right after our first son married we had an Adulting 101 class with him and his wife. And just had one last week with our other son.
Any question was open for discussion. And we told them our experience - the good, the bad, and the ugly (or stupid in our case 🤪)
We covered everything from insurance and taxes to budgeting, the importance of living below your means, and more!
They had some pretty good questions too! It was a great conversation and a great way to know we can still help even if we might have missed the mark the first time around.
Any other parents out there feeling like they might have missed a few chapters in the parenting manual?
No worries! Have an Adulting 101 class with your kiddos (you can even start younger than we did!)
