Most people only have one Mama in a lifetime but I got the blessing of having two with my sweet mother in law, Nanny. She left her earthly body yesterday and Heaven gained a beautiful person. She is healed and whole and we are so grateful.

I never had the terrible in law story because Donna loved me like a daughter and was always so good to me.

She raised amazing humans, mostly on her own. She was kind and generous and wise.

She was so fun and always up for anything. She literally told us, after Alzheimer’s had started to work on her mind, that all she wanted to do is have fun.

She loved big and will forever be in our hearts. I pray I can be as good a mother in law and Nanny one day too ❤️

We love you, Nanny, and we cannot wait to see you again.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21‬:‭4‬ ‭

We are taking a break to focus on some big things that are happening, but we’re counting down the days until we’re back at it on November 18! 🎉

We can’t wait to reconnect with all of you then. Thank you 💖✨

Comment “GUIDE” for your free end-of-life planning guide 🤗

Your family will know exactly what you want. A will is the legal side of end-of-life planning and this is the personal side.

The goal - leave peace, not chaos

It's worth it! Our Mama did it for us so we know the peace it brings 🥹

Did you know this?

After my presentation on our FREE end-of-life planning guide yesterday, a gentleman chatted with me and shared this surprising statistic.

70% of adults in the US die without a valid will or estate planning documents 😱

This means when you die, rather than you making the decisions for your family, the courts will do this for you. In most states, your property will go into probate and can be tied up for years.

In my previous life, as a real estate agent, I listed a property that was in probate and the judge had to agree to the contract price. It was a long process and could have been avoided if the person had a will.

Estate planning is not a fun subject to talk about but it is so necessary so you can give your loved ones peace and not chaos when you pass away.

🩷 Did you know this statistic?

🤗 Caring for Aging Parents?

Here are 4 helpful items that can make things easier:

1️⃣ Pill Organizer with Alarms – Helps keep track of meds so they know what to take and when.

2️⃣ Grab Bars & Non-Slip Mats – Safety first! These reduce the risk of falls at home.

3️⃣ Medical Alert System – Emergency buttons for peace of mind, especially in case of falls.

4️⃣ Lift Recliner Chair – Helps them stand up without putting strain on their joints.

Do you have an item to add to the list? Tell us in the comments.

I wish I had known sooner...

"All of life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better."

Wise words from Ralph Waldo Emerson.

We may be getting older in but we are also wiser and, I would dare to say, a bit more confident in ourselves and, hopefully, we care less about what others think. Can I get an amen on that? 🤗

Let's make a deal to never stop trying! Never stop experimenting and learning.

Failure is an opportunity to set ourselves up for something even better! Thomas Jefferson said he "hadn't failed he had just found 10,000 ways the lightbulb didn't work."

So let's do this together!

🥇 What is 1 thing you can try today to step outside your comfort zone? Let us know in the comments.

Comment GUIDE to receive our free end-of-life planning guide that helps with organizing!

When a loved one passes, having these key documents readily accessible can make a huge difference during an already difficult time.

Here are 4 documents you need to have organized (for yourself and your parents) and know exactly where to find:

➤ Will or Trust: This outlines final wishes and how assets will be distributed. Knowing where this is can prevent unnecessary stress and confusion.

➤ Life Insurance Policy: This document is pivotal for securing the financial support intended for beneficiaries.

➤ Funeral Instructions: Whether it’s a prepaid plan or just personal preferences, having this document ensures that their final wishes are honored.

➤ Financial Account Information: This includes bank accounts, investment accounts, and any debts. Being able to access these helps manage the estate and settle affairs more smoothly.

Taking the time now to organize and store these documents, in a secure place, will help you and those you love when it’s needed most.

Saw this on a late night scroll fest...

I was watching reels (I know totally against what everyone says to have a great night's sleep 🤪) and saw one with Andrew Garfield talking about losing his mom.

And he said this, "I love talking about her, by the way, so if I cry, it’s only a beautiful thing... This is all the unexpressed love, the grief that will remain with us until we pass because we never get enough time with each other... Grief is all the unexpressed love."

I thought it was so beautiful and so true.

So if have experienced loss and you need to, cry those tears and know that it's totally ok.

Big hugs, friend!

Caring for aging parents? You're not alone!

Navigating this journey can sometimes be challenging. We’ve learned a lot along the way and want to share 5 must-haves to help keep your aging parents safe and comfortable.

Let's dive in!

1. Grab bars - Grab bars aren't just for bathrooms! We installed multiples of these at our Daddy’s home and, even one by our door, for extra support and stability. Small changes, big impact.

2. Camera System - Keep an eye on things with a camera system. We have used Ring and Blink systems and both have worked great. They are not just for security; they can provide peace of mind and help monitor loved ones.

3. AirTags - Never lose track of important items again with an AirTag. Attach one to keys, remotes, wallets, luggage, or even a pocketbook. Also, you can place one in your aging parent’s car (make sure the person knows before you do this). All of these are for added safety and peace of mind.

4. Seatbelt Extenders - Ensure comfort and safety with seatbelt extenders. These simple devices can make buckling that seatbelt a little easier for those with limited mobility (check with your car’s manufacturer before using it).

5. Bidet - Helps with personal hygiene and comfort. It's a game-changer for independence and well-being. And bonus points for less toilet paper usage (if 2020 is still in your mind 🤪).

Making our homes and lives more comfortable and safe for our loved ones is essential. These products have made a big difference in our daily lives. Share your tips and recommendations below!

✨ Worried about your aging parent's safety? ✨

Here's a tool we love (and yes, our Daddy knows we use them and gave us the ok! 🤗)

AirTags are small devices that can bring peace of mind by helping you keep track of important items—and loved ones.

Here’s how they can benefit your aging parents:

🚗 Track automobiles: Put an AirTag in their cars to know where cars are at all times.

🔑 Track Keys: Attach an AirTag to their keys to help them find them easily with their phone.

💊 Medication Box: Keep track of their medication box so they will never miss a dose.

👛 Wallet/Purse: Attach an AirTag to their wallet or purse to help them locate it quickly.

♿ Mobility Devices: Ensure their mobility devices are always within reach by attaching an Airtag.

🧳 Track Luggage: If you are going on a trip, put an AirTag inside your luggage to track it.

Airtags can provide peace of mind and help with safety for aging parents. 🌟

Do you use AirTags? If so, what do you use them for? We love great tips!
