NKST PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES STAFF ASSOCIATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO NKST GENERAL SECRETARY.
NKST General Secretary, Rev. Titus Agesa Targba, PhD. today received the delegation of the Staff Association of NKST Primary Health Care Services in his office at the NKST Secretariat, Mkar.
They were in his office to pay him a solidarity visit and identify with him on his elevation as NKST Chief Scribe.
In a speech signed by their Chairman, Mr. Dennis C. Akor and Secretary, Mr. Atsaka Peter Akaha reads, "we the EXCO and Staff, NKST PHCS are here to congratulate you on your well deserved election as the General Secretary of NKST". The Association also pledged their loyalty and support to him and NKST Church.
According to them, NKST PHCS is the bedrock of health care services delivery system.
They however lamented that PHCS being an essential component of health care which ought to be practically accessible to all, they are faced with a lot of challenges that are hindering them from discharging their duties effectively. Some of the challenges mentioned by the association were non promotion, salary payments, official vehicle of the Director for effective supervision, accommodation and lack of drugs at the central store among others. They pleaded GS to use his good office and look into the issues and also generate funds for NKST PHCS.
Responding on behalf of NKST, the Asst. Gen. Secretary, Rev. Chris Annger, PhD. applauded their visit saying, they have done the right thing and asked God to replenish their efforts.
Leading the delegation was the Director, NKST PHCS, Mr. Samuel T. Alyewan.
Present at the occasion were NKST Treasurer, Rev. S. T. Igyor, CPAN and Health Executive Secretary, Rev. Godwin Iyorayia.
The General Secretary was dressed in Tiv Traditional attire as a reputable Tiv Son.
