Mind Medicine is the 2nd release in Sudama Mark Kennedy’s "Satisfied Heart" series, a collection of powerful healing transmissions, soothing spoken word pieces with beautiful instrumentation, including African harp.
In 1973 Sudama was zapped by lightning. Now when he goes through security detectors, officials see magnetic anomalies, but to their surprise find nothing, except perhaps his invisible healing gift. “Mr. Good Vibes,” said one airport guard. And Good Vibes are what Sudama gives his listeners.

It was very fulfilling to tap back into the place where I went to college, and where I had very transformative chanting experiences as a young adult both through the Sikh and social action communities that I was a part of. With so much gratitude and joy I am happy to announce that will be joining me for our upcoming concerts in Los Angeles on September 17, and New York on September 27! We will perform a new piece that we collaborated on (the recording will be released next year… stay tuned!), and one of her amazing chant pieces.
Jahnavi is one of my favorite chant artists of all time! Many a car ride, especially during the uncertain COVID days, when I needed a “pick-me-up”, I would just turn her music up nice and loud and chant along with her at the top of my lungs. If I try to understand why I love her music so much, I’d say she’s just chanting to God; there’s no show about it, just a pure sense of purpose to create something beautiful for and with God. And then there’s the VOICE! OMG. So beautiful!! And the violin!! And the compositions and musical production!!! Just outstanding.
I can’t wait to sing with her and our sacred chant communities in LA and NY! Coast to coast! Our NY concert is sold out, (thank you everybody who has gotten a ticket! Wow!), but LA has plenty of space, so join us and bring a friend! ❤️🎉

Divine help is at our fingertips and literally at our tongue tips through chanting. In particular there is a sacred poem by Guru Raam Daas, the fourth Guru of the Sikhs, that can provide just the perfect touch of heart opening magic to allow us to connect with the Divine and receive help.
This poem is called “Bani Guru.” I am joining my mother to teach a workshop on Saturday August 19 from 2:30-5:30PM EST which will include the spiritual philosophy and message in this poem, meditation, light yoga, and live chanting with my family and I.
This workshop is a part of a weekend of celebration in honor of our new single “Bani Guru” which comes out Friday August 18!! Stay tuned for this love filled track.

I find that feeling mother earth with my hands or feet while I’m chanting really helps me to ground down. I especially love these lines from Guru Arjan to chant. rain babeehaa bolio mayree maa-ee The soul-bird speaks in the night, O my mother. As we call out to the Divine Mother in the dark night of life, through all of the confusion, Her loving energy is surely there to heal and soothe us. This poem of Guru Arjan appears on my new album that I made with my mother, Soul Bird. We have two tracks that feature this poem; Rain Babeehaa, and Rain Babeehaa [Essence Mix]. The first track that has the full poem is “Rain Babeehaa” is 14:29 in length, while the essence mix delivers the main message, teaching and feeling, but is shorter in length at just 4:36, which is sometimes helpful in our busy lives to be able to tap back in. I love this idea that through our own beauty of who we are, we can be offerings to the Divine. 🌺 💃🏽 ♥️ We filmed and recorded all of the artists for this song during a weekend music festival at Omega called Ecstatic Chant. The dancing for the final video was taken from this take and a few others. All of the Ganga footage came from Michael Stoeger who is a devotee of Mother Ganga, and who put countless hours bringing all of the Ganga images and what we recorded at Omega together for a truly beautiful and moving video.
