Last fall, when lots of people were posting about having berries on their asparagus plants, I posted that the six crowns I planted that spring were thriving and multiplying, but no berries. Someone responded and said that ALL crowns are male, and wouldn't get berries. I believed him. Well now look... berries!! Also, the strangest thing happened... three asparagus plants popped up in a raised a bed a good 12 ft from the crowns I just planted last year. It's the first time I planted asparagus, so no idea where those came from! I dug them up and moved them to my asparagus bed.

I know it’s not pretty but I’m proud of it nonetheless. Why? Because I made *something* out of nothing. We were driving the salt flats outside Salt Lake City and there was very little water, it was in the middle of the day, and it almost felt like a wasted drive out there. We saw this old stump and I creeped out on the soppy sod to take a few shots. It came to life in the post edits. I hope you like it.

In Dec 1963, Rodney Fox was spearfishing off the southern coast of Australia when he was abruptly pulled under water by Great White Shark. After undergoing 4 hours of complex surgery & receiving 462 stitches, Fox miraculously survived. His wetsuit had to be left on to keep organs from falling out.

The man in this photo was taken in 1946. This guy is Ken Shimizu. He is 35 years old. He has 2 children. Shimizu never runs. Sleeps late. Eat whatever he wants. Even drink beer instead of water. Eat dinner with many kinds of food every night...
What does Shimizu do to get such a body?
Shimizu doesn't have any secrets.
Shimizu is the person sitting in the bottom left corner of the photo... As for the man standing in the middle, I'm not sure.

Gabriel Dawe is a Mexican artist who lives in Dallas, Texas, his work is based on research of the visible light spectrum.
He gained fame for his Plexus series of large-scale sewing line installations, although he also creates paperworks and other media.
The sensation is that the work is an ethereal spectrum of light with thousands of threads creating visual magic.

Nope. It’s not a painting, and it hasn’t been photoshopped either. These are polar stratospheric clouds over Iceland.
In Icelandic, polar stratospheric clouds are called glitsky, which roughly translates to “glitter cloud.” What makes them so unique to witness is that they can be even more elusive than the Aurora Borealis.
Polar stratospheric clouds form in the winter polar stratosphere at altitudes of 15 to 25 kilometres above sea level and are best observed during civil twilight, when the sun is between one and six degrees below the horizon. Normally, clouds do not form in the stratosphere due to its extreme dryness.
There are two distinct types of polar stratospheric clouds: Type I clouds are composed of nitric acid and water (and sometimes also sulphuric acid), while Type II clouds contain only water ice.
The first type plays an important role in Antarctic ozone destruction. They are also occurring with increased frequency in the Arctic.
