The CASA Guildfest “Wanderland” was held last September 1 and 2, 2016 at the Tan Yan Kee Parking Lot from 8 AM to 5 PM. The event was spearheaded by Ms. Nicole Cruz, the Vice President for Internal Affairs of the CASA Executive Board, in coordination with Mr. Michael Simpao, the project head of the said event.
Despite the distance of the venue, CASANs proved that they too can welcome change and provide active participation. CASA Multimedia recorded the highest number of registration with 67 members, followed by CASA Adventure with 47, Retorika with 40, CASA Press with 37, Musicasa with 33, and CASA Footworks with 10.
The event also featured an Open Mic segment, which ran from 2 to 5 PM each afternoon where talented CASANs from different year levels showcased their singing skills. Some even delivered spoken word performances that attracted many students to engage in the said program.
“The event was organized well, especially with the Open Mic segment. A complete set of equipment was provided as well,” John Paolo Barrameda said, a third year student.
Chelle de Castro, a third year student who participated in the event said that, “The guild fest brings CASANs closer to one another through exhibiting one's talent by joining the guilds that best suit their flair. It is also a great opportunity for CASANs to stand out on their chosen fields.”
The Executive Board of the Communication Arts Students Association assures the CASA community that they will continue to deliver events that are truly beneficial to each CASAN
