We are so deeply invested in materialistic view of reality, we need to resort to trickery to convince ourselves we are indeed fully capable of creating ripples in that reality… until such time when we cognize our true nature, witnessing first hand that all reality is produced by the momentum of mind.

Wisdom sleeps in our very cells. By refining ourselves we slowly stimulate awakening of that wisdom. In the process we are aided by spiritual archetypes residing in the divine mind - wherein we all coexist together.
All levels of consciousness reside within the reality of divine mind, yet we are only in touch with those beings that match our own vibrational levels.
The more we evolve, the greater our capacity to see, hear and feel the higher residents of the invisible world. As we do that, we become recipients of that which they have to offer, to aid us on the path of wholeness.

The Buddhist concept of “Dependent Arising” teaches us that nothing exists in isolation. For instance, the element called “fire” consists of many parts that are not fire, such as air (oxygen). In the same way, our individual minds contain bits of mental material that do not originate in us. These bits were produced in, and have been recycled through, other people – both ones we agree with, and ones we disagree with. We don’t exist as isolated entities, but as concoctions drawn from the entirety of our reality – both the aspects we like, and those we dislike.
Thus, one might ponder: “Can I separate my parts into those that are ‘me’, and those which are ‘not me’”? The entire concept of “me” is brought into question when we consider that the manner in which we exist (physically and mentally) is a result of our particular environment, society, time, technology, and so on. We, along with all other people and phenomena, exist as a result of this Dependent Arising. Any separation of our parts into “me” and “not me” becomes arbitrary. This concept is capable of ending much of the division in our world.

In all spiritual undertakings, if our motivation is not pure, if we are inauthentic, untrue to our spiritual values - how can we ever expect to be successful?
How can we build a fortress on a weak and shallow foundation?
We need to be strong, disciplined and refined if we are to work with benevolent forces, and most especially if we attempt to contact the chaotic ones. The latter is done only when we are solid and experienced, and it is done for the purpose of both pacifying and subjugating chaos so that we can reorient its energy to serve the Highest, not to work against it.

We all dream about spiritual empowerment. We envision that this means that world and reality will succumb to our will.
However, spiritual mastery is about finding completeness and sufficiency unto oneself, not needing or craving anything external. The key to such attainment is the heart that generates love itself, sustainably and perpetually, like a spring that never runs dry.
Thus one taps into one’s divine nature which is in essence non-dual Love, thereby discovering true bliss of embodiment, wherein there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, nothing to attain… mere being itself is perfection of divine wisdom.
Understanding intellectually what the end result looks like in terms of our experience and behavior, we can get there faster by discarding qualities and behaviors that prevent us from reaching our divine potential - which is unconditional love. Letting go of constant fixations of the ego, releasing grudges, stopping perpetuation of disharmony and so forth; all while cultivating capacity for forgiveness, kindness, compassion, understanding…

The Tarot card The Magician represents the Master of the elements—earth, water, air, fire. Through such dominion he is rendered a Master of the Universe, which is formed from the very elements he commands.
However, the deeper, more esoteric and true meaning of this image is that the external elements metaphorically represent our inner qualities.
Once we can fully command and contain our own body-mind - doing so under the authority of our Higher Self, represented by the Spirit - we become Masters of our own universe, which is no different from the external Universe that appears to our mind as being “outside” of ourselves. In the words of the ancient axiom: “As within, so without.”
We often seek to control people and situations, but all along we are barking at the wrong tree. Turn your attention inward.

My teacher Lama Zopa Rinpoche said that we can transform every mundane task into a cause for perfect pure enlightenment. All we have to do is turn all intentions driving our behaviors altruistic.
We can brush teeth, cook and do most mundane of tasks for the benefit beings. It sounds odd! How can I brush teeth for the benefit of beings?
But for instance, when we are in love we feel like we are doing everything for love, for our lover. Every act becomes an act of love. We beautify ourselves for our lover, we make extra effort, we try harder to be better for our lover. This includes doings things that have nothing to do directly w our lover. Yet it makes sense to us that we do it for them.
In the same way, we can train to see all beings as our Beloved. Divine resides in all beings and all phenomena, and practicing magick is supposed to lead us into direct realization of that. Thus, when we cultivate an attitude of transforming all actions into intentional altruistic acts to benefit others - we create a shortcut to our ascension and simultaneously we undermine the small ego which separates us from our highest potential.

If inner and outer worlds were totally separate, magick would not be possible.
Additionally everything in the external world has its corresponding elements in our internal world. How we relate to people and phenomena will impact how we relate to corresponding elements in our own psyche.
This is why creating harmony with the outer world is essential. It necessarily leads to harmony within.

This Timeline of Western Magic shows that magick has been a huge part of daily spiritual life of humanity right from the very beginning (this timeline does not extend far enough to include more ancient and more primitive forms of spirituality of our ancestors).
Do not let anyone tell you that magical practice is the work of the "devil". These practices existed before "devil" was ever cognized. Spiritual communion is our birthright. Devil resides in the mind of the person - if the practitioners are malicious so will be anything that comes out of them - thoughts, speech and actions - whether they be magical or mundane.
We all have capacity to do good and evil, it is up to us to transmute our destructive elements to only serve the highest purpose.
May we all unite with our highest divine potential!

Do not beat yourself up about your mistakes. Instead, use the energy of guilt to fuel your efforts to become the best possible version of yourself. And then pay your dues with kindness toward others who need help and learning.

Alchemy is the art of transformation. There is no part of your nature that cannot be turned to good use, if properly harnessed. This includes sexuality, and pleasure-seeking. Pleasure turns to Hamartia (“error”, or “sin”) when it is pursued to destructive and selfish ends.
In Tibetan Buddhist Vajrayana, or Ta**ra, there is only one manner of turning our afflictions and addictions into the path to Enlightenment, and it is by the virtue of two things: 1 – compassion, and 2 – wisdom cognizing reality directly. Compassion disables the ego-grasping that contradicts spiritual freedom. Wisdom frees us from the misperception that keeps us stuck in dualism – a cause of our incessant and hopeless pursuit of pleasure, and avoidance of pain.
Here is a food for thought. Could our Sloth allow us to let others shine? Could our Gluttony fashion us into great cooks and hosts? Could our Anger motivate us to right injustices? Could our Pride be directed at our capacity to be kind? Could our Lust make us generous lovers? Could our Greed allow us to give others good financial advice? Could our Envy remind us to rejoice for others’ happiness? Even these so-called “Deadly Sins” can be thus transformed into virtues.

One from the vault:
The “Black Iron Prison” is a concept that originates in the writings of author and mystic Philip K. Dick. The term refers to a world-wide system of control. This system is maintained both by constant social coercion, and the forces of natural law operating in an apparently mechanical and impersonal manner. But, the Black Iron Prison is actually a misconception of the Living Information that comprises the real Universe of joy. The Black Iron Prison is like a dark glass that obscures perception of the true, harmonious reality underneath. Philip K. Dick called that true reality the “Palm Tree Garden”. The Black Iron Prison is replaced by the Palm Tree Garden in the process of “Anamnesis” – remembering the forgotten truth about our own spiritual nature, and the nature of reality.
In another manner, we could say the experience of the Black Iron Prison (Samsara) manifests in an unrefined mind, polluted by ego grasping and ignorance. This is the mind of all humanity prior to Enlightenment. Once the pollution is removed through spiritual discipline and cultivation of unconditional love, we automatically find ourselves in the Palm Tree Garden (Nirvana).
