Chai Cyndy Ruth this year story left me in tears. Please read guys.
I use to tell myself that one day I will have the courage to share my story and encourage all the single mothers out there,I think today am going to share part of my story.
This version of me wasn't built overnight,this is experience,pains,insecurities,abuse,depression and a lot more,I had to go through alot of painful things to get to where I am today.
12 years ago,I was that baby mama,that send long text cursing the father of my first daughter,reminding him to be the parent he clearly didn't want to be,He will beat me with pregnancy,using hangers and all types of things😭,I was so frustrated but did not know what to do,remember he was the first boy I ever dated,I felt my life was coming to an end😭,had no one to talk to as young as I was,I went through all that alone,it got so bad when I gave birth,He did not bother to see the baby,when the baby was sick and I went to meet him and tell him to give me money to take the baby to the hospital,he pushed me at the road,I stumbled and fell on the baby,😭😭,the baby had an injury on the hand,he took a bike and left.From that day till eternity I made up my mind to hussle for my child with everything in me,I took the pain,betrayal and anger I felt and promised my child that I will do whatever it takes as long as it not sin,to give her a good life,I diverted the energy in creating a life for my daughter.We live a life of peace,joy and fulfillment,even though we don’t have everything,but at least we have what we need.
Sis,all I am saying to you,is to turn your pain into power,dont tie your happiness to someone who treats you like a piece of Trash,The God I serve is a God of another chance,just because you have failed does not mean you should remain there,pick up your broken pieces,cry to God for mercy,make up your mind never to go back to the life of sin again,Trust me God will forgive you and start all over with you,people might continue looking at you from your past,ignore them and strive to live right with God.
You can give your child a good life without the help of his father,if he wants to take care of the baby give him room,but if he does not don’t force him,stop accepting offers that comes with disrespect my dear. The same year I gave birth I had my ordinary levels,the next year I had my Advance level in lower sixth,went to the university and had to hussle for my childs upkeep and school fees,I will go to school in the morning,come back and fry puff and beans,go to bush markets on Saturdays to sell okrika,bake cake and supply to stores in other to give my daughter the best life,am writing with shaky hands and alot of emotions😭😭
I sent her to the most expensive school in bamenda at that time(Educare)will live my six Nkwen in the morning,take her to school at mile 2,go back to polytech bambui to attend class,I was always late,live class at 1:30 run back to her school,pick her up before continuing my studies,her dad was walking around town with his car,carrying girls here and there but it did not move me,I totally forget about him and concentrated on my child and my education,I graduated as one of the best student in my department,An God blessed me with businesses that i could never have dreamt of.People always wonder why I celebrate my daughter always,oh yes, I wish I could celebrate her everyday,she went through pain with me😭she made parenting so easy for me,she has been a push factor in my life.Even though we are not where we want to be,but thank God we are not where we use to be.
I want to appreciate the husband God blessed me with,He has been a father to us all.He came into my life,wipe my tears and gave me a reason to love again.Most people don’t know that he is not my girls dad,he has been an amazing father to her and my other kids.
All those who know me,knows i’ve been a true example of hustle without shame,that is why i don’t joke with my boss here sir Ajim,i chose to call him my boss cause he has been a great inspiration to me as a person.
I just had to summarize,will continue some day,hope I've encouraged a single mum out there,even if it one.
