Growing up this was one of my "achievements" ; to be able to play this song.

I remember spam pressing the stop, play, and rewind buttons on our Sony cassette player to study this song. (yes kids, wala pang internet nun so walang tutorial kung paano tugtugin ang kantang ito)..

I originally played it in the key of C..

Years later, it blew my mind when I discovered na hindi lang basta basta ang pag transpose ni Gary V ng 1 whole note, but s, actually, 1½ so na renew ang appreciation ko for this song.

Gosh, I may have played this song over 200 times na para lang mag yabang..

This was my audition piece when I joined the DLSU Concert Band (nka DLSU Pops Orchestra). This was also my audition piece when I auditioned for Coro San Benildo.

There was also a memorable time when I used this to sound check when the Heston Ong Project performed at Fontana for Sykes' company outing..

Take note that it was only recently when I learned that there was an actual chord pattern to this song. When I studied/played it, I wasn't basing it on chords..

Before @sarisaricocktails bids us farewell for good, a handful of bands will be sending them off this Saturday, February 22, 2025.. Gates open at 630pm. Show proper starts at 730pm exactly.. 7 amazing bands will be performing mine included.. Hope to see you there..
