A really important show this week: should Christians vote, why don't they, and how do we get Christians to vote?

Christians could absolutely win this election. A study found up to 73 million Christians might sit out the 2024 election. That is 7 times the margin of victory in 2020. And only tens of thousands were needed in a half-dozen swing states for an electoral college victory.

We get two perspectives — from an evangelical/protestant and a Catholic viewpoint about the spiritual war in America and what Christians can, and should, do about it.

This week's show is a big one — discussing Oregon's latest scheme to redistribute wealth: the Climate Protection Plan.

The CPP will institute a carbon cap and trade program, which will impact many things you buy and need. Apparently, Oregon thinks that you're STILL not paying enough on food and utilities, let alone all the other aspects of your life that will be impacted.

This is a scheme that Oregonians rejected directly by turning down a ballot initiative. They rejected it indirectly through their legislature which wouldn't pass the bill. And a third time after Gov Brown's executive order establishing it was tossed by Oregon's Court of Appeal.

But the nation's worst governor (she came in 50th out of 50 in a recent survey) is trying to resurrect it. They are taking public comment on it (link in comments). You need to weigh in.

We interview meteorologist Chuck Wiese to discuss how this CPP will cost Oregonians millions — to solve a non-existent problem.

Our website, www.ispyradio.com is currently down. There was an issue with the security certificate but our hosting provider has so far been unable to restore it. They have been working on it all day but just now told us it could still be another 24 hours before it is up and running again.

It will not effect our regular airing on our network of stations for this weekend. But the show page and podcast may be delayed.

Late Thursday, we learned of Oregon's RFP solicitation for a vendor to monitor, track, flag, report, and censor whatever the State deems "election misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation." This Orwellian surveillance system will monitor social media posts, websites, blogs, YouTube videos, podcasts and even radio broadcasts.

The stated goal is to give the State an early warning system: to identify trends and allow election officials to dispute, respond, and even censor any information that the state doesn’t like. Even report whatever the State deems to be "threats" to the FBI.

I interview Marc Thielman about this war on Free Speech. And we know this is just the first step on a very slippery slope.
