Today marks 10 years since the first aired show of The Rule Breakers 🖤

Something that started off as a uni assignment turned into a project I’ve put some hard graft, a few tears and a lot of time and effort into. Starting at Midlands Metalheads / MMH - The Home Of Rock Radio and now on Hard Rock Hell Radio with well over 600 shows to date including a weekly show with Christmas / bank holiday / other specials, a crazy amount of interviews and some great music along the way.

I have Adam Till to thank for giving me that Tuesday 8-11pm slot back in 2014, but I also still think it was that Doors track in my demo that got me in really 🥲

Happy 10th Birthday to The Rule Breakers. What a ride it’s been. Let’s see what the next decade has to offer…

30 Years Gone 🖤

On this day in 2009 I was lucky enough to visit Kurt’s house to honour the 15th Anniversary of his passing. A surreal experience being such a huge fan. I remember how quiet it was. Apart from a guy playing Nirvana covers on an acoustic guitar and replicating Kurt’s pink hair phase. I remember sitting on the bench next to the tree where some of his ashes were scattered, and I remember a group of cyclists going past who asked if we were ‘paying our respects to the Cobain household’. A truly cherished travel memory.

Nirvana and Kurt mean as much to me now as they did back then.

Remembering a total legend today. 30 years on.

Wow. Mr Crosby.

A crucial part of my music education growing up. I was lucky enough to see Crosby on a solo tour when travelling Canada in 2016. One of the first travels I did on my own and an experience I remember crystal clear to this day. I was also extremely fortunate to have seen CSN which I still state as one of the best concerts I’ve ever experienced.

A man who held genuine talent, passion, and mastery for his craft. He will be missed by millions.

After being a contributing writer to for the last 18 months, I am extremely excited and proud to announce that I have taken on the role of designer and now have my first edition in print!

Huge thank you to the epic Adam Kennedy, Chief Editor, for giving me a chance and being such an easy, professional and fun guy to work with. Honestly dude, you’re an absolute legend.
