Founded by hobbyist bookbinder LMF Yates, Ephemeral is an invitation to create very small editions of unique books to delight curious readers and those of us who love craft and handmade goodness. We have a broad idea of what constitutes a book—it can be a codex, a scroll, a box, or a garden, as far as we're concerned—and we are very open to content ideas. We want to create an eclectic collection o
f titles and warmly welcome your creativity and exuberance to join us in our mission. What We've Done So Far: Since 2010 Ephemeral has published three titles: "Zero Through Nine Sat Down to Dinner," "Jack Vegas: The Slugs and Roscoes of Outrageous Fortune & Murder, Murder on the Wall," and "Mustachioed! A Layman's Guide to Man's Favorite Facial Garment." We have three more titles in the works but we're not going to tell you about them now because it's too soon to share. How We Work: If you have an idea for a book and a strong fun ethic with no notions of fame or material gain, then please contact us. We welcome all new ideas and the chance to work with new collaborators. We also welcome your motivation. Our idea of team work involves shared input from all who are a part of a project. Buying Our Books: Ephemeral Books are for sale! At the moment we're experimenting with pricing and are offering a one-price fits all promotion of Pay What You Want. We happily accept cash, check, trade, candy, performances, poetry and dozens of other cool things we haven't thought of but you probably will. We'll be frank and state that money helps pay the costs of the materials (we gave up trying to pay for labor ages ago), but the mission to delight runs both ways and if you have a delightful exchange to offer we'll bet you we'll take you up on it. Just send us a message and let's give this a try. Thanks very much for reading about Ephemeral Books. We're crazy-excited about the ideas and projects we're working on, and we're crazy-excited with the possibility of working with YOU!
