Anyone ever told you to never settle?

I’ve been thinking a lot about “settling” lately — the idea of it and what it actually means. I think there’s a lot of pressure to not settle in certain instances even if your heart feels happy.

I’m diving a little deeper on this thought in episode 71 of the Life Styled podcast. Let me know what you think about “settling”.

☕️💭… is there something you’ve been wanting to start, do, or see but you haven’t yet?

In todays podcast episode ( ep. 67 ) we’re talking about giving yourself permission, and not waiting on external circumstances or other people to give you the “go ahead” to do the thing, or see the place.

Solo adventures have become my new favourite thing because I don’t have to wait on anyone or miss out on things I’ve always wanted to do. Weekly trips to a new café are a small thing I do, but always brings me so much joy 💃

There’s something about the ocean & being near it that brings so much peace and clarity. 🌊 So grateful to have spent the past year so close to it.

Every lunch I take a walk down to the water just to sit for a minute and breathe… even through the winter lol.

Sometimes you just need a little bit of spontaneity and warm weather ☀️

The last little while I've taken a big step back from creating content and socials all together. I've been pouring myself into design work, redefining how I want to show up in this world, and creating a much healthier work / life balance.

Sometimes when you're spinning on the hamster wheel you don't even realize how much it's affecting your mental state until you've stepped off.

Don't forget to stop and breathe, and if something feels like it's out of alignment in your life it’s because it probably is. The only way to figure that out though is to create some space for yourself.

Last fall I took a little solo trip to Cape Breton Island 🌿

I actually almost didn’t go because I had no one to go with, but last minute I thought f*ck it I’ll just road trip with myself.

I ended up having the best time, even saw a whale, and 2 seals swimming around, and I’m glad I went.

Just a reminder to give yourself permission to do things you want to do, even if it’s alone 🤗

Found this beauty of a dress secondhand on Facebook Marketplace! I’m a sucker for dark florals so I couldn’t pass this one up. I thought it would make for the perfect NYE look paired with some boots and a statement lip. What do we think?

Have you browsed for clothes before on ? Usually I’m a huge homeware shopper through there, but recently I’ve been browsing the clothes, shoes, and accessories a lot more!

AD | I always love shopping secondhand for a more sustainable option, and it’s the best feeling when you find those pieces that fit your style to a tee! Found this beautiful floral dress on Facebook Marketplace Community and thought it would make for a nice New Years Eve dress. Paired it off with some booties and a statement lip, what do you think of this find?!

AD | When you can’t decide whether you want to keep the gift you got for someone else or actually gift it to them lol…

This year I wanted to be a little more sustainable and do some of my gift shopping secondhand! One of my favourite places to get secondhand things from is because you can browse to see what’s available in your area. I’ve always found some really great things on there - including this sweater. What do we think? Keep or gift?!

Decided to take a little breather from posting for the past month & it's been nice to refresh and reset. 💚

Today's podcast episode is about just that... stepping away from the noise to get a little bit of calm and clarity back to your life. The funny thing is, at first you feel this sense of FOMO and like you'll miss everything but when you come back you realize that you've missed nothing at all.
