How it all began...
Roughly eight months ago Thomas Spencer and Wilhelmina van der Bent, two Fine Art students located in Cork, Ireland, started talking about collaborating for a short film. However; it became a reality when shared ideas of horror, comedy, expressionism, and nudges to a lost style of cinema were enthusiastically put into a plan upon commencing third year in college. A teaser was
shot, and submitted for our Video Production college elective. The teaser confirmed our potential as a team and strengthened the collaboration. In February, production started for the actual short. All music and sound was created and recorded by us, the artists. Greenbug is about the descent into madness, a void within, being stuck in a situation, or losing yourself in one. It tries to depict a mood, a feeling, using non-narrative language. We’re very open to comments, thoughts, feedback or requests, and we hope you enjoy our short film – or rather, its peculiar mood and message. Bug Movie Productions aims to continue on this partnership and make many more shorts!
