😡 Four telephonic-harassment charges—built on private family group-chat texts about a dying father’s care and estate. Sister Rene’ Layton stayed in the chat. Idaho already said “civil, no crime.” Oregon charged it anyway. Then Union County DDA Madison Correia offered a deal: stay away from the DA-office employee who controls the estate, take a “respecting boundaries” class, pay $200, and the charges vanish. Loretta Tye said no. Now the state wants a five-month delay. That’s not justice—that’s pressure. Read the texts and the statute.

Judge Christopher Culp dismissed the charges—citing egregious misconduct and withheld evidence—yet Prosecutor Branden Platter appealed, so the pressure continues. Faire says he spent 15 months in jail and on a monitor for charges that could not be sustained. 🎯 A rare California gun club—Wi******er Canyon in the Los Padres National Forest—may be getting wrecked from the inside. Members say the board fed them disinformation while a long-term Forest Service permit hangs in the balance. Allegations include a treasurer with a stranglehold on the board, an employee running a private training business on club grounds, ammo sales that undercut local shops, and a 2017 AG complaint that went nowhere. Meanwhile a member-led group with a legal mining claim says it only wants to help recover lead so the club can keep the land. An island of 2A liberty shouldn’t be sunk by its own officers.
