Despite cannabis being legal both recreationally and medically in the state of Oregon, there are still many barriers regarding cannabis not being federally legal, one of which is banking. In Oregon, there are currently only two banking institutions that allow cannabis business accounts, which are WAUNA Credit Union and MAPS Credit Union

A farewell to our absolute powerhouse of an Editor in Chief, Skyla Patton.
Skyla helped establish Green Eugene Magazine from the ground up, and it would be nowhere near where it is today without her. From her incredible storytelling ability, to a fiery passion for cannabis, Skyla has cultivated a safe space for cannabis lovers in Eugene.
“Working on Green Eugene with such an incredibly talented group of people over the last five years has been the absolute highlight of my college experience. I have never been so singularly proud, amazed and honored to be associated with a publication and the individuals who work on it, both behind the scenes and in the limelight” says Skyla.
