In October 2013, in Sangrampur (Daundia Khera) village in the Unnao district of the of Uttar Pradesh, a local seer named Shobhan Sarkar dreamt that over 1000 tonnes of gold were buried under the ruins of an old fort of a 19th-century king, Ram Baksh Singh. Sarkar wrote to the President of India, the Ministry of Mines (India) and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to consider excavation for the supposed hoard. The excavation work began on 18 October 2013. On 29 October 2013, the ASI announced that there was no gold buried in the location and stopped excavation work.

The saddest part is that Warren Anderson, the head of Union Carbide and the guy at the heart of the Bhopal disaster, was able to jet out of India on a luxurious plane courtesy of the Indian government. He escaped justice and lived out his life without facing any consequences for his actions. He died at the age of 92 in 2014.

• The SPG was given more autonomy and resources.
• The SPG was given the authority to conduct background checks on all personnel assigned to protect the prime minister.
• The SPG was given the authority to conduct security sweeps of all areas where the prime minister was scheduled to visit.
• The SPG was given the authority to carry out random security checks of personnel assigned to protect the prime minister.
The Indian government also established a new position of Joint Secretary (Security) in the Prime Minister's Office. This position was responsible for coordinating the security of the prime minister with other security agency.
