As I've said a number of times, we have found the best part of RVing is the absolutely awesome people you meet. On this day trip, we visit Martha's Garden with John D Lecik Jr. and Eve Gerniski Lecik. We really enjoyed hanging out with these two.
We were told by many that while in Yuma, we had to make sure to visit one of the date farms and to not miss trying their absolutely delicious date shake. So we chose Martha's because they, and many in their reviews claim they have the "best" date shakes in Yuma. So off to Martha's we go!
But to be honest, in my opinion, the shake just tasted like regular vanilla ice cream except it had these tiny chunks, which I assume were groundup dates. So nothing spectacular.
Thought of doing the farm tour, but they were not doing the tour the day we were there. So we just walked around the farm.

Nellie E Saloon - The Desert Bar is an outdoor bar located in the middle of the desert, in the middle of nowhere! Totally off grid. Built on a former mining camp. It's open only on weekends October through April. You drive 4.6 miles down a heavily washboarded dirt road with some "fun" spots off of Hwy 95 northeast of Parker, AZ.
We went there with an awesome bunch of friends, the Boonrockers. The road in was quite bumpy but welll worth the drive. Fabulous atmosphere. Food was not bad, but quite expensive. Drinks were reasonable. And the music was fantastic. Quite the watering hole!!! What a cool experience....and the views!!! We loved it there! As you know I don't drink, but had such a great time!! Completely enjoyed the experience.

Okay, here you go Liz Evangelista, Ashley Evangelista, and Katrina Horton!!! Thank you so much for your patience😝😍😉 We know we are way behind on posting these but better late than never.
And you say from the start, but I had damaged my phone beyond repair. So we lost all the pictures on my phone, up to that point. So we're not really starting at the very beginning.
Anyway..
Palm Canyon is in Kofa NWR. It's about 17 miles south of Quartzsite. You have to drive down about 7 1/2miles on a pretty washboardy dirt road from Hwy 95. Just go slow. Took us about 45 minutes, but to be honest, we did play the tourists😜pictures at every corner! But you know, give a Filipino a camera...!!!
It was a beautiful hike into the canyon. The views from the top were spectacular. Well worth the drive😍

Yuma, AZ They stood on that overpass waving their flags for hours waiting for the convoy, while we went to Mexicali, BC, MX to have lunch with Carlos!!! Now that's dedication...I know, I meant them!!!
