Multinational Inscription of the kebaya on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity
Date of Issue: 4 April 2025

This commemorative stamp issue celebrates the multinational inscription of the kebaya on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Worn by women across Southeast Asia, the kebaya is a garment that reflects the shared heritage of the five nominating countries. Women from diverse backgrounds and all ages wear the kebaya to honor their traditions and identity. This set of stamps features four styles commonly seen in Singapore: the kebaya panjang, kebaya sulam, kebaya kotabaru, and the kebaya pendek.

The Chinese calendar is based on five cycles of 12 years each, with each cycle tempered by one of the five Chinese elements - Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Each year features one of the 12 animal signs, and the year of 2025 is that of the Wood Snake.
The year 2025 marks the reign of the Snake and the sixth animal in the Zodiac series on the Chinese calendar. This capable, inquisitive and determined Snake is depicted on this set of stamps ( 1st Local and $2).

Childhood is made memorable through our hobbies. When every stamp has a story to tell, the collecting becomes as much of an adventure as if the collector had travelled with his prize. Children also found another way to explore the globe, with erasers printed with the flags of world-and doing battle with them.

Peranakan Museum

The Peranakan Museum presents the cross-cultural art of Peranakan communities in Southeast Asia. Installed in the former Tao an School, built in 1912, it holds one of the world's finest public collections of Peranakan objects. Three floors explore Peranakan life through themes related to origins, home, and style as aspects of identity. Community interviews, recorded demonstrations, art commissions, and other contemporary expressions of Peranakan culture provide a multi-faceted experience for visitors, encouraging them to ask themselves:
''What is Peranakan?''.

This stamp issue features items that explore Peranakan life. The Peranakan Museum is a department of the Asian Civilisations Museum, operating under the National Heritage Board.

Singapore-Brunei Darussalam Joint Stamp Issue

This year marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, as they celebrate 40 years of diplomatic ties. The 40th anniversary highlights the enduring and diverse connection between the two countries, celebrating past achievements while embracing future opportunities for cooperation and growth. To honor this occasion, Singapore Post and the Postal Services Department of Brunei's Ministry of Transport and Info-communications have collaborated on the Singapore-Brunei Darussalam Joint Stamp Issue, featuring the Dendrobium Hassanal Saleha orchid and Ficus elastica, symbolizing the close ties between the two nations, with the orchid named after the Sultan's 2022 State Visit to Singapore and the tree planted by President Tharman during his 2024 State Visit to Brunei Darussalam.

Jurong Lake Gardens
Dating back to the early 1900s, the area where Jurong Lake Gardens is now sited was once a freshwater swamp with plantation farms till the 1960s when the area was conceived as an industrial town. This led to the clearing of swamps and levelling of hills for factories and other infrastructure. Today, Jurong Lake Gardens, as Singapore's first national gardens in the heartlands, contributes towards efforts to transform Singapore into a City in Nature by restoring and extending nature into the Jurong district. The 90-hectare Gardens comprises Lakeside Garden, Chinese and Japanese Gardens, and Garden Promenade.

This stamp series showcases some iconic features at Jurong Lake Gardens, as well as the Flora and fauna you can observe while exploring the Gardens.

To further build and strengthen the excellent relationship, the ASEAN Postal Administrations team jointly release this stamp issue, with the theme "General Post Office". Illustrated in this stamp issue is the General Post Office of SingPost, located at the SingPost Centre. The issuance of a single stamp depicting the same theme reflects the unity of ASEAN Postal Administration community.

CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY OF THECAUSEWAY

Celebrating 100 years of connecting communities and fostering growth! 🎉🌉

The Causeway between Singapore and Malaysia's Johor Bahru celebrates its 100th year in 2024. This series of stamps commemorates one of the busiest border trossings in the world, a 1.05km rubble passoge that was an engineering feat when it opened in 1924. It hosts a railway track, wide roads and a water pipeline-and some 350,000 people who cross it each day. Stretching from Singapore's Woodlands Checkpoint to the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine station at Bukit Chagar, the Causeway is today an enduring symbol of our shared history and strong friendship.
