We're looking for poetry that demolishes our expectations, shatters rules, laughs in the face of language and bazookas boundaries. We want to encourage writers to experiment, to make use of poetic convention and then try something different. If you're writing experimental but high-quality poetry, we want to publish it. We accept submissions from writers of all ages, genders, nationalities and back
grounds. We also accept poetry that makes use of languages other than English. In fact, we would encourage our writers to experiment with other languages, or even make up their own! (Although as English is our first language, if you want to submit something in a different language, we would ask you to provide footnotes or your own translation). Accepted work will be published on our blog at kumquatpoetry.tumblr.com. We are brand spanking new and so are still getting our act together, but hope to also publish a digital magazine edition on Issuu.com. If you'd like to submit to us, please see our Submissions page in our Notes. We now accept multimedia poetry submissions, so if you mix your spoken or written word with music, sound, film, visual arts etc, and make experimental and/or multilingual work, we’d love to publish you! Send us a file in one of our accepted formats (see our Submissions guidelines in Notes) and cross your fingers for publication! At present we might not be able to publish multimedia works in our Issuu editions, but hope that this will change soon.
