When Biden chose to dignify Trump, a 34 time convicted felon, with a debate couldn’t have been a more delusional, wishful thinking, pivotal and significant mistake for the DNC and Biden insiders. I can’t be the only person that for years now, that holds their breath ever time Biden gives a speech, on the edge of my seat and praying the inevitable wouldn’t raise its head again, but it does and it did!
When Biden announced his “willingness” to debate Trump, I instantly questioned what “meds” he was on. And now, I suspect, it was the enablers on the inside that let him, if not prod him, to take on a debate while countless of us out here in America that have been in the nosebleed seats, in prayer we weren’t going to hear or see what was clearly showing in many respects.
And while the hopefulness of Biden to “do the right thing” and put Country first over personal interest and ego, leftwing feminist, opportunists, are gathering their “Million Woman March” flags and banners, showing comparative signs of the HRC Kool-aide lane days we came to know in 2016, and then - come to know anew an “America” we could never have imagined – arise. As if the early morning hours of November 9, 2016 weren’t enough, a clarion call, for news reporters, pundits and liberal media outlets to arise in those early morn hours and rewrite their copy, headlines and opening stories, because the country we thought we knew, had long left the station – with extreme prejudice! Yet, still in that oblivion that seems to be getting in the lane, there remains a significant degree of “ignorance” in the media, as to how and why it was that the MAGA train came to town and all the history it made along the way.
In that regard, I have long wondered what it was that brought about the MAGA machine and how did scholars and historians not see it coming. But how could we? Countless could never have known what was “underneath it all,” until the MAGA fields came to fruition and show their hand. And there it was.
I had many theories. In 2018 I moved back to California. For a side job and to get back on my feet, I worked as a passenger driver for Uber and Lyft. While in that employ, and primarily working the LA market, which was very diverse ethnically I came to learn much.
One of the routes I chose to drive back then that proved profitable, was from the Queen Mary, and the various Liberty Line Cruise ships that arrived in the morning from their 3 to 6 day round-trip cruises to Mexico. From that Long Beach port, I would deliver passengers to anyone of their destinations of LA, like Paramount, El Modena, Watts, Boyle Heights or LAX for ongoing destination routes. To say the least, a good many of my/those passengers were black. While in those passenger deliveries I would often chat it up with my passengers, who were more than eager to hear from a local driver, articulate voice. In late 2018 and early 2019, when discussing the 2016 election and the advent of the MAGA steam, overwhelmingly, many of those black riders would suggest that the rise of the Trump machine was the outcome of 8 years of Barack Obama in the White House. And more often than not, the same notion would recite itself again and again with black riders, and I took note.
Could it be, that the undercurrent that was on the rise, that none of us could have imagined, was indeed brewing in the hearts and minds of so many Americans, that the America we thought we knew, wasn’t quite “there,” wherever there was, but that a long developing, slow moving, toxic current was in the making. And that being the degree of contempt, frustration, push-back and intolerance the Obama’s 8 year term stirred in the conscious of so many Americans. And what is that? Perhaps, some degree of “Trans-Generational Trauma,” TGT. Trauma that may have been resting dormant in the deep crevices of many a conscience for countless decades, if not centuries.
It is conceivable that the Obama years significantly stirred the vulnerability that TGT could have manifested. And that the then current and post years reaction to the Obama years and the unconscious vulnerability that lie in waiting, finally found it’s way to manifest and renew itself in the more present minds of so many Americans that carried that prejudice, underneath it all, all those years ago. 150 years is not a long time in terms of the advancement of human values, conditions or mental state of mind. After all, it took how many years since the Civil War to the 1960s when, finally, civil rights measures were implemented – yet, not even that carried much weight in changing the “conscience” of America, considering what still goes on in this Country today. There are multitudes of various nuances of digression that suggests often, we have taken, in reality, so few steps at bringing about the social change the Civil War and the Civil Rights movement sought, and the Trump years showed exactly that, most poignantly.
It makes for a good argument that the Obama years triggered this TGT, and that brought to the surface the fact that what we thought one knew, however hubris, about America, was pure fiction and wishful thinking, as the Trump years proved. The MAGA movement and Trump himself proved to so many, hopefully, how wrong their thoughts and wishful ideals were, albeit “off the tracks,” a mere wishful dream lost in a real nightmare now at hand. And that now, left-wing Feminist, opportunist, are promoting the notion that Harris should carry the ticket, in acknowledgment that Biden's slump after the debate wasn’t an accident, besides a tragedy, the recent SCOTUS decision, likely, couldn’t have more made the circumstances more dire.
Those who suggest that Harris is an option to Biden, are on the same 2016 Kool-Aid that went around and the notion the “HRC ticket” was the right choice, notwithstanding similar ideals that brought about the “Million Woman March” to the “let’s get rid of the electoral college” delusional sentiments that arose in the aftermath Trumps election. Denialism seems to be on the rise again and appears to be persisting among the many liberals that should come to terms with the fact they were grossly negligent, which they wont, in their HRC choices back in 2016, in addition to suggesting Harris is the best Biden ticket replacement, you’re back on 2016 time and not in the present. Get real. The clock is unmercifully ticking. And the longer Biden fails to come to terms with his shortcomings and step away, the closer it seems Trump is going to reign again.
