A BMW driver was stopped by Police in Devizes last night and tested for drugs and alcohol after using his indicator at a junction. A police spokesman said it was such an unusual occurrence that we thought the driver would test positive for substance abuse. The driver tested negative and was allowed to continue his journey.

STORM ALERT- Storm Ciaran hits Devizes.
Worton resident Dave who works for local building company, Windybottom Builders, had a lucky escape this morning whilst driving between Potterne and Devizes. As Dave was nearing Devizes part of a tree landed on his work van. Dave told us ‘ I must have a guardian angel to get out of that unscathed and I will be taking the rest of the day off to get over the shock and to pop up Pep & Co to get some more pants.
The road was shut for a short time to clear the debris but is now open.
