Today my mom woulda turned 74 but they needed a singing multi instrumentalist elsewhere. Mom, not only did you give me life but you gave me the gift of music. A gift that I have done my best to not squander. I use it to brighten up the days of the elders where I work; to take people back in time to happy times with the music videos I post and most importantly to be able to conjure up memories of you by playing your favourite songs or the ones you taught me. I just got back from a wonderful trip to New York City with your amazing granddaughters. It helped take my mind off the fact that four years ago you were getting ready to leave on the next part of your journey. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. Happy Birthday. I miss you terribly.
