My fluffy Faith! Introducing miss Faith again. This sweet girl has also had a pretty rough life up until the day we adopted her and Luna in July. When we picked up Faith and Luna from the rescue in AR the lady told us that Faith had just had an emergency hysterectomy and was still on antibiotics that she gave us to take home. We were told that the puppy mill in OK had surrendered her because she had a severe uterine infection and had to have the hysterectomy thus the breeder had no use for her anymore. Sickening, right?? Faith seemed to look in pretty good shape overall on the outside. When we got her, her incision site was almost completely healed and she was happy to go to her new home with us. We took her to our vet along with Luna to get checked out too. Overall, Faith was in better condition now than Luna. Thank goodness she survived her uterine infection and recovered well. Faith did have a yeast/double ear infection so we got her treated for that. The biggest concern our vet had was that Faith needs quite a bit of dental work which is also pretty costly. She needs the dental work done to prevent infection from going to any other parts of her body and to help her overall oral health. I’m hoping we can get Faith’s dental work taken care of by the end of the year, but with Luna’s surgery costs it might have to wait a while. I’ll be taking Faith to our vet again for a check up soon just to reevaluate because I think one of her infected teeth may have fallen out and I just need to see how urgent her dental work is. Faith turned 4 years old on the 6th and I’m so sad when I think about her living in the puppy mill for most of her 4 years of life just being used and abused to have babies. I’m so happy to call her my sweet girl now and there was no better name for her than Faith. Thank you to anyone following our pug stories and for any financial help or prayers!

The sweetest duo! Faith and Luna! Faith is our fluffy apricot pug and Luna is our gorgeous black pug. The first picture is the evening we rescued them from AR. They were shy at first, but they were so good on the ride to their forever home in MO and even gave me smiles and kisses right away. I think they had a hunch that they were going to have a great, new life!

They met their brother Beast and got familiar with their new home and backyard. They have been so happy with us!

Unfortunately, we realized within the first couple of days that Luna had some severe issues going on with her hind end, but we had to get her into our vet to get a diagnosis. We also took Faith to the vet to in order to establish care for her and see what needs she may have as well since they had originally been surrendered to the rescue in AR from a puppy mill in OK. We got them evaluated and were saddened by the results of their exams because we knew they were going to need extensive medical care and money had been tight since getting married in June and honeymoon, school, etc. After talking with our vet we tried to come up with a game plan and prioritize their needs the best we could.

These girls are so deserving of love and the medical attention they require. They didn’t deserve the suffering and abuse they had endured for their whole lives up until we rescued them. Faith and Luna have changed my perspective on breeding and selling of dogs. Everyone has their own outlook on right and wrong when it comes to our beloved animals on Earth, but I for one will no longer ever “buy”from a breeder. Now, my Beast and Belle came from a breeder with a set price and I was able to meet the owners and the pug parents. The conditions seemed reputable, however now that I’ve truly rescued pugs that were in dire need of love and care I can’t buy from a breeder no matter the conditions. I can’t buy again because of knowing how many pugs young or old are out there in desperate need of medical care and love and affection just as these sweet girls were. If you’re still here, thank you for following along.

Separate posts for Faith and Luna’s stories to come!

Introducing you to the OG pug of the Swindle family. The most snoringest, handsomest, and goodest boy. I give you Beast. Beast has been my dream come true. I’ll never forget the day I got him. It was Valentine’s day of 2018. He has been alongside me every since as my friend, my son, protector, and pure joy in life. Mr. Beast also became attached very quickly to my boyfriend a few months later who is now his furever Dad after we got married in June.

Our baby boy, now almost 6 years old, has the least medical problems of our 4 babies.

Unfortunately, at 4 mo old, Beast had an accidental break of his left elbow requiring specialty surgery placing 3 pins in his elbow to fix it and let him continue to grow normally. Thankfully, he recovered well and it hasn’t hindered his activity throughout the years until recently. He recently started limping for short periods of time where it seemed his leg would “lock up”on him. After updated x-rays, it was revealed much arthritic changes in that left leg and paw which we knew would eventually happen. Beast is now on NSAID medication management which has helped with his limping and pain. We also have him on a couple different supplements such as fish oil and cosequin to help with his arthritic changes and overall joint health.

Overall, Beast is a great big brother to his sisters and is the most faithful companion to our whole family.

More posts to come about Beast’s sisters & their medical needs/demands.

As Beast’s mom, I’d like to officially welcome you to the 4loveof4pugs page, if you made it here to the end. I have so much more information, stories, and pictures to share. My next post will be about Beast’s first pug sister which is a hard, tragic story to share, but needs to be for any followers to understand how we’ve got to our family of four pugs. Stay tuned!

My husband and I are in need of financial and emotional support caring for our babies which is why I’ve created this page to share their stories. Any financial donations or prayers are so appreciated!

God Bless
