But don’t get too caught up in reaching your destination. Ensure to enjoy the journey for it is the most beautiful part of reaching your destination 🩵

✨Well 2023 has been full of adventures and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am so grateful for all the places and experiences I have had this year. Very hard to pick out 10 photos from the year but Iv managed to narrow down my favourite parts/best memories of 2023.
✨2023 has been the year that I have eventually said enough is enough. I have been working on my mindset daily going from a fixed to growth mindset, it hasn’t been easy but the changes I have noticed are amazing! This mindset shift is due to me starting my own online business venture which is so exciting!
✨I am so excited to see what 2024 has to offer! It is going to be a life changing year that’s for sure!
⭐️I wish you all the best for the new year may it be full of happiness, health, love and anything else you wish it to be! 🩵

⛰️ Pen Y Fan ⛰️
✨The most rewarding day of the wales trip by far! We took on the challenge of Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in south wales.
✨ We got very lucky with the weather, the clouds held off so we got the most amazing views from the peak. Miles and miles of fields-I was definitely in my happy place! We spent a good while at the top of the peak we had lunch at the top and just sat and appreciated the incredible views (definitely not because we needed a breather😅😂) and then of course me and my fur baby had a little photoshoot 💁♀️🐶🥰

🌸Elan Valley🌸
✨The Elan valley consists of 70 square miles of rugged Welsh landscapes, dams and impressive man made reservoirs.
✨ Another stunning part of wales. The reservoirs were spilling which I must admit made me very happy.
✨ On our walk around the reservoirs we stopped at the Penbont House tea rooms, I had a lovely hot chocolate and Maisie was mesmerised by a little blue tit 🐶🤩
✨ Would definitely recommend visiting the Elan Valley, you can explore by car or by foot there’s some lovely walks round the reservoirs/Dams. I would recommend going to the Elan valley visitor centre before hand so you can be informed of the “must see” places so you don’t miss any of them!

✨ We travelled across to Hay-on-Wye to explore✨
✨ We explored this lovely market town and went down to the river and had a lovely walk along it. The weather was gorgeous this day 🤩.
✨Hay-On-Wye is best known for its 20+book shops! Quite rightly it’s names the “town of books” 📚

🌳Lovely little circular walk, bit of a pipe cleaner up the steps to the top of the waterfall 😮💨 a very picturesque little place.
🌳 A walk I would definitely recommend if your ever near Aberystwyth (12mile away)

🌸 Something I try to remind myself daily.
🌸 I am very much a ‘why’ person and I always try to understand why people do or say things the way they do. And I really struggle to understand but because I’m such a ‘need to know’ person if someone can’t tell me why they do things the way they do or why they say things the way they do then it really gets to me and can ruin my whole day. I know it doesn’t affect me what they do but because I want to be a really understanding person I want to know ‘why’.
🌸 I’m getting better at telling myself that it doesn’t matter and if I don’t understand just forget about it because it doesn’t affect me.

🩶🏴 Wales July 2023🏴🩶
✨We based ourselves in this gorgeous Lodge just outside of Rhayader, for a week. It was such a stunning place, so peaceful and quiet with incredible views.
✨ We also got lucky and happened to be there at the same time that Rhayader carnival was on which was actually really cool to watch, the atmosphere was amazing.
✨ We explored the surrounding areas throughout the week. I will be sharing our adventures from wales over the next few days.

✨Remember that the people you look up to for being “successful” were once in your shoes. Don’t let the lack of knowledge and experience put you off. We all have to start somewhere. Even the most successful people are learning daily still, the learning never ends.

🌸Middleham, North Yorkshire 🌸
Gorgeous weekend away in Middleham. We stayed at the . Such a lovely hotel, with a view of all the racehorses going to the gallops on a morning(which Maisie loved to watch). As a horsey girl I absolutely loved hearing the clip clopping of hooves when I woke up in the morning, music to my ears!
✨Middleham is home to 13 racehorse trainers! You can tell, as when you get out to car you can just smell that “horsey smell” straight away.
✨ We did a lot of exploring we did a lovely circular which took us past the Castle, along the river cover, past the abbey, then along the Middleham gallops which provided stunning views over Wensleydale.
✨I just felt so at peace and so happy, I don’t know what it was it’s quite hard to describe the feeling really. But all I know is it’s definitely my happy place and will definitely be visiting again!

✨ Everyone will always have something to say about you no matter what, so make sure you do whatever it is that you want to do!
✨ Following on from yesterday’s quote. These people also used to call me boring but I know I’m not boring… around the right people… they just weren’t my kind of people. I knew I didn’t need to prove to them I wasn’t boring so them saying their negative comments didn’t effect me because I knew I was fun around my kind of people.
✨ This is where peer pressure will get to some people and they will think oh I will just go out with them and prove to them that I’m not “boring”. However all you end up doing is hating every minute your there and wishing you had gone and done someothjng you would actually enjoy, so why waste your time?
✨ I now just decline the offer politely and let them say what they want to say, I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion.

🌸Starting 2023 new year the right way🌸
✨Maisie requested her Hoomans took her away for new year as she is scared of fireworks 🎆 So we decided to stay at Skipton. We spend New Year’s Day walking the Gordale scar and Malham cove circular. It was a bit breezy but the views from the top of the cove were gorgeous you could see for miles! Maisie thoroughly enjoyed it, she did request some sun glasses though (see photo 7) 🤣. Fair to say she slept well that night 🥰🐶

✨ There is something positive in every day! There is always something to be thankful for every day.
✨ Even in those days where you feel the world is against you and when nothing is going your way.
✨ I have listed some things I used to take for granted on the daily:
•Having a roof over my head
•Central heating
• All 5 senses
• Health
• Clean running Hot & Cold water
• Food in the house
• Arriving safely home after going anywhere in the car
• Owning my own dog.
You may look at some of these and think well that’s just the bare minimum but there are people who will be begging for the ‘bare minimum’ on a daily basis.
✨ I now ensure that on a daily basis in my morning or evening routine that I address how thankful I am for all the points listed above and more, it makes you realise that your day could actually be a lot worse than you think 🙌🙏

🌸London 3.12.23-4.12.23🌸
My first time visiting London. Was lovely to see all the shops with lovely Christmas displays in the windows and also have change to look round all the main attractions. The main reason we went is to see Morgan Wallen performing live at the O2. I had the best night! The supporting acts Larry Fleet and Bailey Zimmerman were incredible aswell. The atmosphere was amazing. Was so lucky to get to see Morgan Wallen but hoping we get to see him again Live in the future 🤞🤠

✨ I remind myself this daily.
✨ If I don’t want to do something , if something I am doing doesn’t bring me joy or happiness then I don’t do it. There has been many times at work in the past when my collegues have gone out for a few drinks and I get called “unsociable” for not going. I let them crack on and say what they want because I know for a fact I’d rather be walking my dog in the countryside or at home cozy with a takeaway and film rather than being somewhere I don’t want to be.
✨ So this is your reminder that life really is short… so don’t waste time doing things you don’t want to do to please others! It’s your life! Do what you enjoy and what brings you happiness ❤️

🌸🏔️ Switzerland 2022🏔️🌸
🌸Last stop Zurich. We stayed in Zurich for just one night before we flew home. We decided to explore budget/unique hotel options and opted for a capsule hotel. As the time got closer we thought “oh what have we done” but we were actually pleasantly supplied and would highly recommend for the price!
🌸 We explored the lovely old town along the cobbles and spent some time by the Zürichsee.

🚞 Next stop Luzern. Another gorgeous part of Switzerland. Very pleasantly surprised with how gorgeous Lucerne was, I wasn’t expecting it to be so gorgeous. And always a bonus it was so warm! We were getting some funny looks walking around in t-shirts as most of the locals were in jumpers/coats but it was hot to us! Could definitely tell we were the tourists 😂

✨ So many people give up on their goals because they don’t see results quick enough. If it was easy and required minimal effort then everyone would achieve their goals in life. But imagine the little satisfaction in reaching your goals if they were easy? Wouldn’t it feel much better to reach your goal knowing you worked your butt off to get there? 👊

🥾Next stop saw us visit Mürren. Mürren was a very tranquil little village. It is entirely car-free, with no roads to the villages residents have to park down in the valley and get the cableway.
✨Although quite a small and quiet village the views it offered were incredible! Panoramic views of the Eiger, jungfrau and breithorn. We spent a long while just taking in these breathtaking views ⛰️🏞️🤩

✨ Your Sunday reminder to plan your week. What do you want to accomplish this week? Scheduling your weeks out make you more productive as you know how much time you have to do certain tasks. You can be vague by writing a to do list and writing down your free time when you can complete these tasks. Or you can be specific and write down what task you are going to complete on what day at which time. This allows you to stay focused and be more proactive, setting you up well for the week ahead💭

🥾Next stop Lauterbrunnen. Another gorgeous little village known for its 72 waterfalls! It is also one of the biggest conservation areas I. Switzerland! The photos won’t ever do this gorgeous place justice! The Weisse Lütschine river was so crisp and clear I couldn’t resist a little paddle! ⛰️🏞️🥰

✨Your weekend reminder to continue to work on yourself✨
✨If you need a rest day/morning/afternoon. Then take it but make sure you don’t feel guilty for doing so otherwise you haven’t actually rested at all.
💭 It took me a while to realise sometimes my body just needs a rest and I would spend the whole time that I was “resting” thinking I need to do XYZ and I’m just sitting here. I realised that this was not allowing me to rest at all. I now write a list of things I need to do before I rest so that I can get these thoughts out my head, I then allow myself this time of rest and do not allow myself to think about anything I “should” be doing. In order for me to be productive I sometimes need to rest first.
✨Work on your visions daily, even create a vision board to put on the wall in your house with your what your dream life would look like. This allows you to visualise it daily to drive you to your dreams. Focus on the little steps today’s these big goals and you’ll soon be where you want to be.

🚞Next stop Wengen we got the train up to Wengen from Lautterbrunnen, such a lovely quiet little village. The scenery was stunning and the birds singing on the walk back down to Lautterbrunnen was really tranquil 🤩😍

Started off with a lovely circular walk from Blanchland to Baybridge over the moors and back along the river😍 Me and Maisie then went for a delicious full English breakfast at @derwentarmsdurham 🤤 This was my first time sat down in a restaurant/pub for a meal by myself👏 This is a huge deal for me considering I used to not even be able to walk into a restaurant first, let alone on my own! 🥹 so I’m feeling very proud of myself for pushing myself out of my comfort zone and let me tell you I’ve felt great all day! Mindset growth🙌 I’m working on being more present in the moment. I am always so stuck and caught up in my own head that I don’t take in the moment. I am trying to get out of my head and in to the moment so I can appreciate the people and experiences I have in my life more. I’m learning to slow down. I don’t always have to be rushing. I don’t always have to get through my “to do” list. I can slow down. Take in and appreciate the beautiful nature around me 🥰 So this is also your reminder too if you struggle to get out your head and into the moment… slow down and appreciate what’s around you 🩵 you’ve got this 👏🥰
