SD70M-2 Makes the Return to Delmarva!
Taking some time out of my day before to chase this coal train! The leader in particular is what I was after, Norfolk Southern recently took these out of storage after nearly 4 years to help with their power shortage. now for the first time, we have an SD70M-2 on the lower peninsula. Also, listen to that unique New Past P3! I’ve had to get my shots of this setup before work! This coal train may also not be around much longer, so get these while you can!
Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line - Visit to the World Famous Horseshoe Curve & More!
Well look at that! We visit the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line! Come with us as we take you around the Altoona area to see a lot of trains! The Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh line runs from West Pittsburgh, PA to Enola, PA and sees approx. 25-60 trains a day in our area we rail fanned. Horseshoe Curve is a popular tourist and railfan hotspot year around and costs $8 to get in and is well worth it. Norfolk Southern has a lot of heavy trains going up the roughly 2.5% grade towards Pittsburgh and most trains will have SD40E and SD70ACu helpers on the end and as well as Mid-Train and Rear-Train DPU's until reaching well before Pittsburgh.

Railroading Action Under Delmarva's Fall Transition!
At the start of September 2019, the Delmarva Peninsula would soon be in the transition of green to fall color leaves on the trees. We were out filming the stone and the Ellendale Local (Which some of the video you may have seen!), also a video from Wyoming I finally got around to editing!
We first start with Wyoming, DE. I thought that barn in the background was a good POI (Point-Of-Interest) for this video. I want to include POI in my videos instead of the train all together.
Next, about an hour from that shot, we found ourselves at Corn Crib Rd outside of Harrington, DE and under the setting sun.
Third, the Ellendale local. This was from the video "Railfan Mistakes" , you can find the video in the card in the video.
The last three were filmed in Redden, Ellendale again, and at Fleatown, RD

Hurlock Maryland Fall Festival 2019 Train Rides!
All Aboard! On the 5th of October 2019, the town of Hurlock, Maryland had thier annual fall festival. Craft vendors came out to sell arts and crafts, there was parade in down town, but lets not forget boy and girls, the Maryland and Delaware Railroad had train rides to Federalsburg!
Sadly I made it a little late to this years festival, but I sure wasnt late for the trains rides! Maryland and Delaware Alco RS3M (Was orginally an Alco RS3, may have been modifed by Electro-Motive Divison, thus added "M" meaning "Modified") No. 1201, takes some passengers along a ride , and the locomotive to be hooked up at the other side at near Federalsburg.
The scenes you will see are quite cool, first; MDDE departs out of Hurlock, two pasenger cars in tow. Look at them smiles from me waving to the passengers! Cool isn't it?
I rushed down to Federalsburg at Reliance Ave at nearby the railroad crossing.
The train was being turned around but It took me a while to figure out where I could get this next, its at the Marshyhope Creek, at Chambers Park. The train crossing the bridge give a unique look! There was a steel bridge that I wanted to set up on, but it didn't happen becuase I could not figure out a way to get there and had very little time!
The train did stop at Main St, Im not sure what the engineer or conductor had to do there. But it was a fun chase!
Thanks to all for the festival! Hope I can go again next year!!
