With each passing year we’re inundated with more movies to see, shows to binge on, books to read and stories to experience. the ScreenPlayas have vowed to rise to the occasion. My name is Mike, the creator of ScreenPlayas. I've always been fascinated by the fact that while many of us may develop a passionate love for our stories, many others are instinctively put off by what they perceive as “nerd

-culture” antics. To this day, I have not yet persuaded my sister (an obsessive book worm, I will add) to experience the Harry Potter novels that I’ve read so many times. I will get to her someday, I know she’s a fan who just doesn’t know it yet. In the meantime, I have two goals here at ScreenPlayas. The first is to keep my readers updated on pop-culture happenings, and the second is what I like to call “ungeekifying the geekosphere.” I believe that there is a reason we love our stories so much, and I wish for everyone (or, at least, as many as possible) to enjoy them as much as I do. To begin this journey, I’ll close off the intro by quoting one of my favorite childhood mentors, Bilbo Baggins: “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
