Backwater is small independent label, a podcast, and a live promoter in Sheffield. Formed over a love of the music we were hearing (and making) in the city, and keen for others to hear it too, Backwater was formed in 2013 with the release of the debut album from The Payroll Union. gh Backwater. To put it simply, we put out records and promote shows that we like by people that we like. Every week, Pete David speaks to someone involved in making music. Sometimes it has a theme, and sometimes it's a bit chaotic, but it's usually interesting.
