During the summer of 1992, I went to the UK to try my luck in the music business and to try to join a band. Although the band idea failed miserably, I did manage to meet up with Tony McPhee who was playing with a re-formed Groundhogs, at a club in Putney called the Half Moon. After his set, we chatted about his mid-60s band, the Herbal Mixture and talked about a possible reissue of all the Herbal Mixture material he had. A few months later, we made a deal and put together the “Please Leave My Mind” LP on the Distortions label. RIP to a funny, friendly and great guy, Tony McPhee
