“LES HORRIBLES TRAVAILLEURS (NL):

Sound collage project by Max Kuiper. The broad spectrum of sound sources that are used corresponds with the broad sound language of this project. It incorporates the crude and the refined, musical elements as well as anti-music and noise, drone as well as cut-up.

For live performances, Les Horribles Travailleurs uses only some cassetterecorders and a selection of tapes from its archive, with pre-recorded sounds on them. The sounds are combined to a situation specific composition.

Max Kuiper will be showcasing his art and present a new edition of z\w\a\r\t magazine during the C.R.U.D.E. exhibition at Troef where a special Les Horribles Travailleurs peformance will take place on sunday.
