HTX 138 Production Unit Xero - Between the Glaciers and the Bay

On Heterodox Records' first release of 2025, Production Unit Xero departs the shadowy dystopian cyberpunk realms for sunnier climes, delivering 50 minutes of lush, blissed out radiance.

Between the Glaciers and the Bay forsakes Production Unit Xero's frenetic, hyper-intricate beat sculptures in favor of hypnotic pastoral ambient synth, like walking through a field of wildflowers to a Studio Ghibli seascape. Gentle and entrancing, PUX conjures a Quartzite mountain range, glittering and resplendent beneath a canary yellow sun - a land without shadows, where anything and everything is possible. It's an uplifting, unwinding walk in the sunshine when times feel dreary and dismal - a blast of Vitamin D for the soul, a warm breeze to quiet the demons.
