I provide 3 main services-
1). DJ & Master of Ceremonies
When you hire The Sound Guy to provide DJ and MC services at your party or reception you've taken the first and most important step in making sure that your special event is exactly what you want it to be. It is my joy to communicate with you as much as needed in advance of your event to make sure that my services perfectly reflect your
vision for the event. Dance floor/effects lighting is INCLUDED with my DJ services. For wedding receptions I also serve as your Master of Ceremonies and work alongside the wedding coordinator & photographer to make sure things run smoothly (or I become the de facto coordinator if you don't have one). I'm happy to offer help in planning your reception timeline, suggesting ideas for games & special dances, and providing you with options for music selection.
2) Lighting Package
Professional lighting is the next crucial element to making your special event absolutely everything it could be. Lighting makes any party better, but there is an exponential return-on-investment for wedding receptions. Not only do you and your guests get to enjoy the spectacular decor for the duration of the reception, but an investment in lighting is also an INVESTMENT IN YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY! Every photographer I've talked to says they love it when a bride and groom have added a lighting package to their reception because of how much better it makes the photos look. Adding lighting to your event is a lifetime investment in the memory of your big day!
3. Live Sound Engineering
The final piece of the puzzle. I can provide live sound engineering for wedding ceremonies and other events. I have a 14- channel soundboard with effects, and plenty of vocal microphones, instrument microphones and DI boxes, cables, stands, and of course the know-how to make it sound perfect. As someone who plays multiple instruments and has experience running sound for bands in a variety of locations, I can ensure that your guests will be able to hear the music you've practiced so hard to provide for them. Wedding Ceremonies -- Many ceremonies take place outdoors or in ballrooms or other spaces that do not have an integrated sound system. If you want your guests to hear what's going on between the officiant, bride, and groom, then you definitely want to consider adding my sound services to your ceremony. I have a wireless lapel microphone for the officiant, and plenty of equipment to provide sound for whatever instrumentation or musicians you might have as part of your ceremony. I also have a variety of recorded wedding music that can be played. Wedding Receptions -- Live bands are an occasional option for cocktail/appetizer hours and receptions. I have everything you need to make them sound their best. I've even heard of folks hiring a wedding band AND a DJ to work in tandem with one another throughout the reception. With plenty of both sound and lighting equipment of my own, don't assume that because you're interested in hiring a band for your appetizer hour or reception that you shouldn't consider The Sound Guy!
