Athletes After Hours is a new TLC program that focuses on creating time for tutoring outside of normal hours.

The program runs from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays in the CBB drop-in center.

The UWSP Soil Judging Team placed first overall and in group judging at the regional competition this October, marking its first win since 2018.

UWSP has one of the biggest teams in the region! The team gives students an opportunity to further their understanding of soils and soil science.

UWSP has not always been named UWSP. Our school had four previous names!

This edition of the Pointer was printed on Oct. 11, 1939. Back then, UWSP was known as the Central State Teachers College (CSTC). You can see that in the top right!

The Pointer

The Pointer is a student-run newspaper published biweekly at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The Pointer staff is solely responsible for content and editorial policy.

The Pointer publishes new stories online daily during the week and is printed Wednesdays during the academic year with a circulation of 3,000 copies. The paper is free to the public.

Letters to the editor can be mailed or delivered to The Pointer, 104 CAC, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Stevens Point, WI 54481, or sent by e-mail to [email protected]. We reserve the right to edit letters for inappropriate length or content. Names will be withheld from publication only if an appropriate reason is given.

Letters to the editor and all other material submitted becomes the property of The Pointer.
