Some of the ideas found in the book Firepath (and its sequels), were derived from the author's interest in Rosicrucian religion and philosophy.
Rosicrucianism, as an esoteric spiritual philosophy and religious movement, spread from Germany to the rest of Europe in the XVI century. It's roots were in Hermetism and alchemic thought. While subsequent persecution from both the Protestant and Catholic Churches led to the disappearance of the original movement, it left a legacy that influenced successive philosophical schools, as well as some Masonic factions. Over the last century, Rosicrucian ideas have re-emerged and given origins to two important religious Societies, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC).
