This week, The Gap And The Gain is the book of the week.

The second time I read this the big idea was the power of tracking 3 daily wins.

In the book, one of the challenges the author tells the readers to do is every day, mentally or in a journal, jot down 3 wins for that day.

The reason of doing this is to realize no matter how "bad" your day was, there are always a few things that you did that moved you forward.

This is one of the best books I've read on psychology/business in years.

This week “Influence” is the book of the week.

So far, the book is great and one thing that stands out is the idea of price comparison.

In the book, the author talks about how comparing an expensive item to a cheap item first will perceive the cheap item to seem cheap compared to the expensive item.

Example:
If you show someone $2,000 software packages first, the $500 software package seems like a “deal” because it was compared to the expensive one first.

Great book.

This week The Richest Man in Babylon is the book of the week.

After listening to this book last week, here are my big takeaways.

1. Saving 10% or more if what you earn is one if the keys to getting wealthy.
2. What do do with that 10% is important and you should only invest it in assets you truly understand.
3. Spending more than you make is a recipe for financial disaster.
This is a classic book and a lot got the ideas are common sense but it’s definitely worth a read.

Timeless principles.

Let’s do some deals together. If you’re local to San Diego, Reno, Delaware, or The Hudson Valley, I want to buy your properties if you’re a wholesaler or I’d love to JV with you in your wholesale deals. Email me [email protected] if you have a deal you want me to look at.

This is a great book if you want to learn how to grow and protect your wealth.

In the book, Jim talks about how important it is to have the right wealth manager to ensure that you keep the wealth you build.

He goes into great detail on how to use entity structures, life insurance and tax strategies to your advantage as an entrepreneur.

He makes a great point to have the right insurance in place and gives many great examples on how people have used a wealth manager to grow and maintain the wealth they have built.

If you're an entrepreneur, this is a MUST read.

This week I’m reviewing The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster.

So far on my journey this has been one of the most impactful books.

This time reading it, the one thing that stood out to me was the chapter on leadership.

At the end of the day, once you have a solid team, the best way to lead is always to lead by example.

In the book, he give specific examples on why leaders need to always be leading by example and leading from the front in order to make sure their entrepreneurial journey is as successful as possible.

This week "How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling” is the book of the week.

The number one thing this book is showing me is that selling is so simple if you boil it all down.

The author says that the most important thing you can do in selling is this…

“Find out what the other person wants (prospect) and then help them get that thing”.

I see people try and overcomplicate sales and the selling process all the time.

At the end if the day, focus on the other person and how you can solve their problem.

All in all, this is a great little book.

Also, if you want to do a JV deal with me or, sell me one of your wholesale deals, send me an email at [email protected].

He’s a billionaire and has 40,000+ employees and says he’s never afraid get back into the trenches of needed.

In the book he shares examples on how he does this from time to time.

This week I am reviewing Measure What Matters.

This book is all about strategic goal setting.

In the book, the author talks about "OKR's"

That stands for Objectives & Key Results.

Objectives are high level goals or a vision.

Key Results are the milestones that will most likely get to the objectives.

If you're looking to be a high performer, this book will teach you specifically how to use OKR's so you can achieve all you want.

Also in the book, the author shares several case studies on how big companies are using OKR's to succeed big.

Check it out today.

This week I am reviewing "Shift" by Gary Keller.

The first thing I got from the book is that in a down market (real estate), you need to put more weight on the active homes for sale versus the sold comps.

The actives are telling you the current market and the sold comps are telling you the past.

Also, he makes another great point in the book.

If you want to thrive in a shifting market, you must master lead generation.

In the real estate business, lead generation is they KEY.

Pick up a copy of this book today and let me know what you think.

This week, Built Not Born is the book of the week.

In this book, a self made billionaire talks about how he grew his business.

Out of the many great ideas so far, something that has stood out to me is the importance of knowing how to read the numbers.

This is such an important skill because when you know how to do it, you can tell right away on what's going on with the financial health of a business.

Besides this, the book is filled with timeless wisdom.

This is one of the best all time mindset books I’ve read.

This week I'm reviewing Jim Randel's new book, 100 Sentences That Can Change Your Life.

This was a short, very informative read.

In the book, the author takes 100 of the top self improvement books and distills the books to the key ideas that can be the most effective.

In the book, I learned a great little hack on time management.

If you can get something complicated in two minutes or less, you should try to do it immediately and avoid kicking the can down the road on small tasks.

This could include short calls/texts and emails.

Besides that great little gem, this book is packed with helpful tips and tricks.

Pick up a copy today!

You'll be glad you did.

Also, if you're a real estate entrepreneur, Jim Randel, the author of this book wrote one of my all time favorite real estate books, Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur.
That's also a great book.

Psycho-Cybernetics is the book of the week

This book could be a life-changer for some people because of the way it teaches how to improve your self-image.

Your self-image is the key to success, in my opinion, because you'll never be able to outperform your own self-image.

The big idea I took away from this book this time is that if we're not always in constant goal-seeking mode, we can get ourselves into a rut because we don't have any direction.

This is why some people get themselves into trouble. I know every time I'm not going after a goal that's important to me, I become more negative and lack direction

Besides this idea, the book is loaded with many other valuable insights.

Pick up a copy...it's great!

This week I will be reviewing one of my favorite books, Organize Tomorrow Today.

Out of the 10+ nuggets this book has given me, the one that stood out this time is the power of focusing on ONE thing at a time.

One of the chapters is titled "Choose Wisely, and it speaks in great detail on the strength of saying NO.

Today everyone is trying to do as many things as possible, which is causing many things to be poorly executed.

I can't say enough good things about this book.

So practical.

This week's book of the week is No BS Time Management for Entrepreneurs by Dan Kennedy.

There are several takeaways from this book that I got, but the significant idea that stuck with me was that the best use of any entrepreneur's time will ALWAYS be focusing on marketing. The more the entrepreneur works on marketing and becomes better, the more the business will grow.

I have seen this first hand in my own business, and this book was a great confirmation. Dan makes the analogy in the book about the entrepreneur with the marketing ability is like the all-star player on a sports team. They are always the most valuable resource.

Besides this idea, there were several others, including ways to communicate with people, so you don't spend your entire day reacting to messages. He also has excellent tips on how to travel adequately to get the most done on the road.

This book is excellent for anyone who wants to sharpen their time management skills.

This week’s book of the week is “ The One Thing” by Gary Keller. Before I read and APPLIED this book I used to hear everyone raving about it and how good it was.

The book completely changed my life and I can say with confidence that it blew up my income.

The first huge takeaway is that when you understand that your willpower is not at an unlimited supply, you can manage your energy more effectively and not spend time on things that are draining.

He looks at willpower as a battery. Once you use all of it up, you will have to spend some time resting and recharging in order to be more effective ( this is a good thing).

If you want more clarity and focus in your life, this is a MUST read. 5 stars 😃

As always, I want to buy your properties or I’d love to JV with you in your wholesale deals. Email me [email protected] if you have a deal you want me to look at.

This week, Leading An Inspired Life by Jim Rohn is the book of the week.

If you want to learn from the original source of most of today's "gurus", Jim Rohn is the guy.

In this amazing book, there are so many great ideas it would be hard to share all in one post.

One that stood out to me was the importance of self discipline.

As Rohn says, "It's the bridge between goals and accomplishments.

The beginning of the book goes into detail on why self discipline is a MOST if you want success.

This week, the book review of the week is the road less stupid by Keith Cunningham.

This is one of the best business books I have ever read because of the actionable advice the author gives throughout the entire book.

Out of the amazing ideas, something that really stood out to me is the concept of understanding how to keep/preserve money.

In the book, he talks about it being very popular to grow your wealth and earn more money which is obviously a very good idea.

He also mentions that a great way to preserve your wealth is to avoid doing stupid things that are going to cost you a fortune.

If you are in business or have an interest to be in business, this is mandatory reading.

This week I'm reviewing Ed Mylett's new book, The Power Of One More.

The big nugget so far is The Power Of One More...

Here’s what I mean.

When you're doing the work to achieve all your goals, there is power in getting into the habit of going the extra mile.

When you make one more call, do one more rep or say one more positive thing to someone you care about, all those efforts stack up over time to build serious momentum and success.

Besides this key insight, this book is LOADED with more practical takeaways.

This week, 21 Success Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires by Brian Tracy is the book of the week.

This is a great short book.

The big idea that I got from listening to it this week was the ability to focus.

In the book, he talks about how the number one skill for earning a high income is the ability to concentrate on valuable tasks and complete them without getting distracted.

If you were to just do this, one thing alone, you would change your entire income and productivity within the next 6 months.

Highly recommend this book.

This week, I am reviewing The Gentle Art of Persuasion by Tom Hopkins, a legendary sales coach.

This is a phenomenal little audiobook that teaches you how to communicate better.

The big idea that I got from this book is the idea of asking open-ended questions.

The author discusses how to ask open-ended questions in the book, which encourages detailed responses from the person you are speaking with.

This is something that I see a lot of salespeople make mistakes on.

Instead of asking open-ended questions, they ask closed-ended questions that either end in a yes or a no, which can potentially cut off a valuable conversation.

This is a phenomenal book, and if you’re looking to become a better communicator, I highly recommend it.

This week, Start With No is the book of the week.

If you're in sales....you NEED this book.

This book alone is better than 85% of the sales training out in the world...

This time, the big idea that has stuck with me is NEVER BEING NEEDY for a deal.

It doesn’t matter if you got $1MM cash in the bank or $10 in the bank, if you're going into deals feeling needy, you're toast.

The book also has a great chapter that goes into detail on how to never be needy in a negotiation.

Pick up a copy today.

P.S. If you're an investor in San Diego, Delaware, or the Hudson Valley, you also don't wanna be needy and a great way to do that is to sell me your deal or consider JV'ing with me. Either way, send me an email [email protected] and let's find a way to do deals together ;)

This week's book of the week is “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” by Robin Sharma.
Here are my top two nuggets from this book.

1. In the book, The author talks about the idea of not having happiness be contingent upon achievement.

This is something that I have personally felt guilty of doing over the last few years.

I would tell myself whenever I achieve something I would then be happy but I had it all wrong.

If we let our happiness be contingent upon achieving certain things, we will always be on a vicious cycle of letting outside controllable forces dictate our happiness.

2. Understanding the difference between making a lot of money and making a lot of life.

This book really opened my eyes up on the concept of having it all.

The author goes into detail on how achievement and goal-setting are very healthy. However he talks about if we just make our life about constantly making money without making a lot of "Life" aka memories and experiences, we will regret a lot as we get older.

Highly recommend this book to anybody because the concepts and principles are Universal and life-changing.

This week I am reviewing The Fifth Vital by Mike Majlak.

I'm a big fan of his podcast with Logan Paul so when I saw Mike had a book, I had to read it.

This is an unbelievable story about starting literally at rock bottom and overcoming amazing adversity.

In the book, Mike talks about his long battle with drug addiction.

There are so many good lessons on perseverance and how to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles.

It's also a very entertaining read and he does a great job relaying some stories from his past that helped shape him into the man he is today.

Highly recommend this to anyone.

This week the book of the week is How To Make Big Money In Small Apartments by Lance Edwards.

If you're interested in apartment investing, this is a great intro book.

Out of the many ideas, the big one that has stuck with me is this:

Because commercial/apartments are mostly about numbers, you don't need to live in the areas you invest to make deals happen because you can analyze and make offers sight unseen from a laptop anywhere in the world.

This is one of the many reasons that this apartment business can be a great business if done right.

If you're looking to learn more about this niche, this is a GREAT book to start with.

This week, Real Estate Titans is the book of the week.

Out of the many ideas so far, the one that’s coming up over and over is the idea that protecting the downside is more important than the potential upside.

The top investors in the world are obsessed with the downside before they even look at the upside of a deal.

They hate losing money...flat out.

This book also has some great lessons on debt and how to use it correctly without having a ton of risk.

This is MUST READ if you’re in the real estate business.

P.S.
If you’re local to San Diego or The Hudson Valley, I want to buy your properties if you’re a wholesaler or I’d love to JV with you in your wholesale deals. Email me at [email protected] if you have a deal you want me to look at.

08/07/2023

"Elite Minds" by Stan Beecham is the book of the week.

I originally bought it to help me out when I was playing hockey and struggling, and it turned out to be a complete life-changer.

The first takeaway that's extremely powerful is that the author makes a compelling reason on why killing fear should be your primary goal in life.

He says that somebody is not better or worse than you, they just have less fear than you and the fear is the one thing that's holding you back in whatever you are doing. "Fear is your opponent. No one is better or faster than you--- only less afraid".

This is something I try to work on on a daily basis by conquering different types of fears I have consistently.

Another great takeaway that I got from this book was when he goes into winners having the right expectations.

He makes a great example in the book about a productive salesperson always going into a meeting expecting to do business.

He explains that people who are not high performers anticipate a bad outcome before the event even happens and that sabotages their potential success.

I recommend this book to anybody who wants to learn how to really control the power of their own mind and guide it to whatever they want.

P.S
Also, if you want to do a JV deal with me or, sell me one of your wholesale deals, send me an email at [email protected].

This week Relentless Solution Focus is the book of the week.

The big idea I got out of the book so far (one of many) is that there is ALWAYS A SOLUTION when you train your mind the right way.

The book talks about how as humans, we tend to focus on the problems we have in life and when we do that, we allow ourselves to feel powerless.

The book teaches a specific formula on how to reframe your brain to go from focusing on problems to solutions.

This is MUST read (trust me and you'll thank me later 😉)

Pick up a copy...it's great!
