One year ago today I lost the most important person in my life, my wife Paula. We were blessed with an amazing 44 years of life together, and three amazing children! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. She was a true inspiration to everyone she meet! She saw the good in everyone & everything and never once complained of her own situation. I miss you so much honey, rest in peace!!!!! 😢💔

We are proud to announce that our beautiful city is being represented, once again, on the big screen though the HBO Max platform through the new HBO Series “The Last of Us.” CVP Productions is proud to have had the opportunity to work with DNEG on the VFX efforts. Originally a video game on PlayStation and created by Naughty Dog, the series has two episodes which feature Kansas City, which air on 2/5 & 2/10, 2023.

Without the support of Aaron J Monson of Veer Visual, it would not have been possible to have had such a smooth production. His experience and network helped lockdown 20 locations throughout the Downtown & Crossroads areas. In edition his ability to navigate complex production processes is what separates him from others with less experience.

In addition, our team represents the skill of all local filmmakers throughout the Midwest. Which with the support of organizations like the KC Film Office and the Film In MO - A Missouri Motion Media Association we were able to connect with and secure key locations on government buildings.

Though productions like these pass through Kansas City from time-to-time it is rare because both Kansas and Missouri lack film tax incentives that would drive revenue to local businesses. We must support the efforts to pass bills that would create tax credits that would create countless jobs in Kansas and Missouri as it has in other neighboring states. Bring the jobs back home by helping those as they move forward with these efforts.

We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with Double Negative (DNEG) for the television series "The Last of Us" originally created as a video game by Naughty Dog, LLC, PlayStation, and Sony Pictures which is scheduled to air on HBO Max January 1st, 2023. Kansas City was selected as a location for the show and during our production, Executive Producer Robert Fanning with CVP Productions and Producer/Location Manager Aaron J Monson of Veer Visual worked to capture angles of our city from some of the most iconic and beautiful locations throughout the city.

With the support of the KC Film Office and the Missouri Motion Media Association (MOMMA) we were able to connect with key members representing the City of Kansas City, Mo. Government, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, the National WWI Museum and Memorial, and the General Services Administration at the Richard Bolling Federal Building.

We are thankful to have had the opportunity to have worked with these fantastic organizations and the people within them to create a series that will help to put Kansas City in the spotlight as a film friendly state that supports the arts and local film professionals.
