Sure, you know Simitar Entertainment and their iconic logo... but did you know of their FIRST logo?! Got this VHS in Philly and despite being $3 (pricey in my book) it was the logo that caught my eye. I kept their intro in my edit. Otherwise, Karate Master is a fantastic addition to Simitar's library... from 1986, this is one of their earliest tapes!

Between TV movies, a VHS tape I recently received had local Oregon news and weather recorded along with the commercials from 1985. I've trimmed it down to some key elements: retro commercials, AIDS segment announcement, local weather with state-of-the-art computer graphics he is clearly very proud of, local sports news (high school football) with a segment interviewing the coaches, a segment on endive, the Dow Jones current price... there's a ton of great moments here! A fascinating look back at 1985 life and news... and cost of living. 8.8% loan on a new car?! You heard him right! Sign me up!

There is a wealth of audio and video assets in 90’s CD-ROMs at thrift stores. I may have just found a new niche for found footage video artists like myself 😳

WARLORDS Trailer (Unofficial)

WARLORDS! Thrifted this movie years ago and I couldn't find a trailer for it, so I made one! This is pushing ten years old now. I added a new section on the YouTube channel for my creative endeavors, Joby's Video Art. I had a blast making this. I hope to make many more useless things in the future.
