USA Blasphemous grind noise. Formed in late 80´s, the band´s trademark has always been lyrics lifted from the bible, performed in a very blasphemous manner. Jesus Chrust can also be viewed as a pioneering black noise band, as later some of the members formed bands like Gonkulator, Goat Thrower, Bone Ritual and Goat F***h. They´re also known from underground bands since the 80´s like Psycho, GG Allin and the Bulge, Post Mortem and Cancerous Growth. If phonophobia can be defined as an overall fear of sound - what better band can you think of than crustcore titans Extreme Noise Terror to deliver such a fear as though kicking us down a shoot that leads to a lifetime sentence in Room 101. Crustcore sound terrorists Extreme Noise Terror are able to say that, because Holocaust In Your Head - The Original Holocaust is the first version of their seminal debut, featuring Mick Harris of Na**lm Death fame on drums, later re-recorded from scratch to be unleashed upon us in the version we all know. This album continues to excuse itself in being reissued for what must be the last time before the last time. It’s no wonder why. We The Helpless is every bit as hopeless as it sounds - a blitzkrieg of wails and nightmarish sonics that tighten themselves around the temples until the eyes turn white. Statement will always stand on its own two feet as a perfect set opener and Innocence to Ignorance’s unhinged atmospheric armageddon as well as Use Your Mind’s sample-sprung assault on the senses are possible indications of where the band could’ve wound up had their line-up not been walking such a shaky tightrope. MORTICIAN are legendary, and there’s no disputing this fact. MORTICIAN's first official demo came after a super-rare rehearsal tape the previous year, this 1990 document kicked off the then-trio's dominance of the death metal underground. Back then, the band had in their ranks drummer Matt Sicher, who’d unfortunately die in 1994; thereafter, MORTICIAN utilized drum-programming since, in their eyes, no drummer could compete with Sicher. And while that drum-programming soon became a signature element as much as Will Rahmer's ultra-guttural vocals and Robert Beaujard's beyond-downtuned guitars, it’s still an interesting event to hear live drums on a MORTICIAN recording. Likewise for the short-lived appearance of Incantation’s John McEntee on guitar (Rahmer was concurrently that band's vocalist), which puts a uniquely creepy touch to these three songs, which would then be re-recorded for the band’s first EP, to be released later that year on the infamous Seraphic Decay.

Black Shepherd was formed in 1983 as Beelzebub and in 1984 they changed name to Black Shepherd. During their demos era Black Shepherd played with bands as Onslaught, Kreator and Angeldust and the influence of the fury of thee bands can be clearly seen in the first efforts of the band. In February of 1986 the demo ‘United Evil Forces’ was recorded and released, showcasing a band in full force with a raw and brutal blackened thrahsing sound. This compilation features that iconic demo, plus two tracks released as "Demo 2" and a full live set from 1987. All tracks have been restored and remastered.

Hemdale had a short career going from 1993 to 1997 but in that brief existence they managed to became one of the most appreciated and important names in the whole American goregrind scene. Their almost happy approach to the genre infused a peculiar energy in their music, unleashing some of the catchiest and most pleasant bands of their time. They reunited in 2013, without losing one ounce of their energy. This compilation features all their recordings from the original run and the more recent efforts, making this the first REALLY complete discography collection of Hemdale.

In 1991 Immolation released their storming debut "Dawn of possession". Far removed from the usual and typical thinking within the extremities of death metal, "Dawn of possession" serves up a blend of pulverizing aural assault with a heavy focus on songwriting. Within this package, there is ten death metal songs head to toe of wierd dissonant riffs, double pedal drumming and guitar harmonics a-plenty. Technically this is extremely well exectuted, and this is further confirmed by the vocal delivery of longtime frontman Ross Dolan. Robert Vigna,does an absolutely stellar job also. This debut is yet another classic example of precision, from a golden era of extremity as we all know. Immolation did stand out from a sea of like-minded bands during this era, and did continue to experience a well-standardised notority in later years, after further persistence in great albums emerging.
