News | This year marks a significant milestone as China and France celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. Across both nations, various cultural festivities are underway, and Chinese President Xi Jinping is currently visiting France, engaging in "an in-depth exchange of views with President Macron" on the evolving landscape of China-France and China-Europe relations amidst today's global circumstances.
The Chinese greeting "Nihao" from French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal was highly appreciated. Who would have imagined that his one year of Chinese studies would help him unlock diplomatic brownie points one day, lol.
The President was also enthusiastically welcomed by the Franco-Chinese community. Many of my Franco-chinese friends willingly took part in the welcome. With optimism and hope, we anticipate that this visit will indeed "bring benefits to our two peoples, but also provide stability and positive energy to the turbulent world," as cited from the president's speech.
