We would like to congratulate TD Dennis Greffard, Asst. TD John Gould-Thorpe and their hosting team from Clearwater, British Columbia on being awarded the 2024 Canadian National Disc Golf Championships.

Dennis and his team hosted their Harvest Huck as British Columbia's Provincial Championships in 2023 and have worked with local business and government throughout the years to establish an impressive repertoire of supporting partners which include primary sponsors Choice hotels (Best Western Plus, Quality Inn & Suites) and Clearwater/Wells Gray Tourism. Having already secured substantial event funding to offset infrastructure, rentals and added cash for the professional divisions ($15k), we were thoroughly impressed with the progress already made when considering the bid. Players can also expect to see course upgrades in anticipation of the Canadian Nationals, most notably the addition of turf tee pads at the Wells Gray Resort.

With a focus on catering holistically to the player's experience, Dennis and team have committed to ensuring that competitors are offered no shortage of programming while visiting Clearwater for the Canadian Championships. With Wells Gray Provincial park (the location of Wells Gray Resort) located mere minutes to the north, the breathtaking Cariboo Mountains are sure to impress, especially for those travelling from the East. Of additional note, competitors for Nationals are estimated to account for a 15-20% increase in latent shoulder-season population during the event, which will ensure a distinct disc golf "presence" throughout Clearwater that we're certain will only serve to enhance the experience for competitors visiting from across Canada (and the US).

The Championships will take place September 13-15th, with tiered registration opening March 15th.
